The constant negativity is ruining MLB The Show
-
How much did they pay you to write this? They deserve all the smoke
they are getting. Or should I say you. Clearly you work there. They get paid millions to take the abuse. Why would you set yourself up like this to take abuse for them for free? You should delete your post. Ill get my popcorn ready now and sit back while everyone else annihilates you. -
This game is terrible. The market bots alone are reason enough for relentless negativity. Go bury your head in someone else's sandbox.

I do find the community can make this game hard to enjoy at points, but let’s be honest this product is rough this year and the neglect to the issues don’t help. Only reason I still play is because I don’t play real baseball anymore and I’m a diehard baseball fan. I’ve played this game for years and don’t remember the game being in this rough of shape. Personally I’ve givin up on caring about cheaters, glitch exploiters, toxic sweats, shrinkage, bots and anything else ppl complain about. At the end of the day it’s a video game it’s not life or death it’s supposed to be fun I’m not gonna lose sleep over no life dead beats letting software play a video game for them. I’m happy to be back at work and playing more casually again either way just play ur way just try and block out the negativity and make the most of ur time on the game.

This OP is laughable. Expecting a corporation to meet reasonable standards is simply reasonable expectations. You buy a car and you expect it to start in the morning, get you to work, start in the late afternoon, and return you home. If the car fails to meet those reasonable expectations, then criticism follows.
MLB 26 was released with bugs so profound that batters hit foul balls over the dugouts that were ruled homers! I still see as recently as today, new posts on MLB The Show themed web forums where video shows catches made for a final out of an inning being overruled in the game score with the game code inexplicably awarding the runs like a homer was hit vice being caught for the final out as was actually played out on screen.
These are deep and profound bugs in game code. Many of them have remained unfixed, including menus that lag several seconds from control pad input to finally carrying out the ordered action.
If you posted the OP for attention, then congrats. But, if you value your basic self-respect you really should have thought differently about writing it. Less than half the MLB 26 bugs that were discovered by the paying customers the first week of release remain unfixed. And again, that includes basic menus that are horribly bugged up.
And I could fill paragraphs with bugs that have remained in the game for several years despite hundreds of bug reports being sent to SDS over these years.
And you blame the customers, vice the company that put this garbage out there. OK, you play that way in real life and see where it leads you!

@PriorFir4383355_XBL perfectly stated.

-
@Bridge-Piece_XBL is it the chicken or the egg? Is it the negativity, or is it a bad game that’s causing the negativity? I’ve generally been a pretty positive person when it comes to this game. This is far and away the worst year and my least favorite version of this game. So much so that I won’t buy this game next year. So who’s really ruining the show?

SDS and the community. We all expect it to be GOTY, and SDS fails to satisfy those expectations. And even worse, the game has massive issues, like bugs and hackers, thay go unnoticed.
I guess we are all the problem.

Actually, it's common sense. Just like NBA2K. The community begs for a feature to be added, and then when it is added, they throw a fit because some detail isn't back, even if it isn't improved.
Plus, he isn't even stating it's just the community that ruins it.

I also feel bad for the sds employees that I’ve seen pop their head up to communicate issues or respond to problems. I can’t imagine how embarrassing and downright humiliating it must be to work on a game that has so many unbelievable problems. New problems coming up daily! I agree, it’s upsetting when I hear my 11yo and his friends talking about all the problems this game has and saying it’s made by idiots and how they didn’t even know that something can be sold to consumers in such a broken state and remain broken all the time. I’ve tried to explain to them it’s not the people actually working on the game, it’s the people that they work for that decide what/when things get fixed and for reasons unknown, they just don’t want to fix the game. It is totally sad how great this game was and still could be and the way it’s letting so many loyal fans down. I agree. The way they dropped this pos on the community and ignore all the fans begging for them to fix things is a disgrace.

@Pergo_MLBTS lol yep I know. They make my point, exactly.
