Why is PCI Shrinkage Back?
-
@ryguy034753_XBL agree which is further strengthens my point about how scummy it is of them to directly say it was removed. They no longer deserve our money
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS resentful really isn’t the best word. Disappointed. If you look at my previous posts/comments, I’ve directly praised the game when it actually is fun and you avoid awful mechanics
The last weekend classic I genuinely enjoyed. This post here is to give SDS the heat they deserve for literally false advertising pre-launch
-
@sds_joek_psn would love for you to relay this to the game development team:

How can SDS defend this mechanic? This single mechanic solely contributes to the reason we have a switch hitting meta. Is this really what you all want?
Still having those internal conversations Joe or was all that just a buncha [censored]?

As I have written before, last I checked in real world baseball, the bat size doesn't shrink when a hitter goes after a pitch low and away!
-
@PriorFir4383355_XBL but low and away sliders are so hard to hit! So let’s make sure our users are penalized for no reason when they manage to square up and time a low and away slider! That’s exactly what they want! Oh, and let’s tell them that this is intended after we lied and told them it was removed!
What a joke of a company
-
@sds_joek_psn any acknowledgment from your company regarding your blatant false advertising? Or will SDS take the ostrich stance and just bury your head in the ground acting like you don’t care about the people who keep your company afloat? What a sad excuse of a “development” company SDS has turned into over the past decade
-
@doobiebross66-72_PSN they did acknowledge it. They doubled, or maybe quadruple downed on it. They haven't admitted this yet, but sales were not going great so they announced they would take it out at the 12th hour. Then did absolutely nothing. Well, they shrunk the strike zone box. Which was a visual change not a game change, meaning it was a strike before, so instead of fixing the game, just make the box smaller, and those strikes before now appear to be just clipping the edge of the strike zone. THEN, they doubled down (or quadrupled lol) on PCI shrinkage is here to stay, accept it because all the stellar former ball players behind the scenes at SDS know ball, and a slider away is really hard to hit.
This is called Bait and Switch, in any other business model it's illegal, and the company could face a lawsuit for selling a product under false pretenses. However, the arbitration agreement you agreed to when logging in for the first time protects SDS from lawsuits. The same TOS, that SDS ignored when players openly exploited the game a few weeks ago with the WBC glitch. So, ultimately what I'm saying is they want you to play the game and like it the way it is. #WORKINGASINTENDED.They will never be honest and transparent with any of us. They will act like heros when they fix small issues in the game. Its a joke.
-
@LIONED-33_XBL exactly why they no longer deserve the license from MLB nor deserve our money.
-
@doobiebross66-72_PSN unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. We are stuck.
-
Just field a switch hitting team, there are plenty of them. That is how you combat it, because SDS can’t code a game.
-
We really need to keep this post going and make it sky rocket because this is utter bs! No one wants shrinkage in the game.
-

Konami and eBaseball are sponsors for the All-Star voting. Maybe if their game is supported in July, they will be tempted to work out a deal with MLB. The exclusive clauses ended when 2K ceased production in 2014 and chose not to renew the license. People do realize anyone can acquire an MLB license now, right?

Please god not 2K or EA Sports..

@Ditka06-_MLBTS or real life!
-
Just give them what they want. They think just because the bat size doesn’t change everything should be the same size. The velocity change, visual change, degree of movement, be damned. Who cares that it changes timing, reaction, and swing path to the ball.
-
But let’s dumb it down to the size of the physical bat doesnt change.
-
@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS You know the second they remove shrinkage some day we are going to get a ton of posts from people complaining that someone hit a HR off them on a well placed slider down and away.
-
@Jacob151167_XBL absolutely, the problem is it has to be a bigger company. We all have our hang ups with SDS, but it is an established brand. EA bring back MVP would be huge, and to be honest the only viable competition to the Show.

EA seems to be thinking about it. They did just drop a mobile game not too long ago, so like I said, guys, if you support another project, it may pay off for everybody. Even SDS, After all, even the most incompetent management team cannot stand losing money. Look at Sony or Xbox.
-
Sorry, but EA never has been, nor ever will be, the company I look to when it comes to salvaging anything.
