An Idea for Captains

    For the most part outside of Weekend Classic, in Ranked, I use a Cardinals captain boost team. So this means if I want to continue that, I won’t be able to use the new Matt Carpenter card, as I don’t expect to get new team captains any time soon.

    I had an idea of how they can evolve the captain system: Captain Mods. You could pick anyone on your team to equip the captain mod, and if you equip it, they can’t be taken out of the lineup. You could also have it work like the current mod system to where you have to earn different tier boosts. For example, if you want contact to be boosted, you’d have to get so many hits with your team’s players.

    I’m not sure if people would like this idea or not. I’m just throwing out a suggestion as someone who is kinda bummed that I’m going to have to choose between my team’s boost or using a new card of one of my favorite players.

    Wouldn't work as you could just mod a switch hitter and then you would have a juiced up switch hitting team.

    A pretty cool idea. Make it team affinity by means of however many innings or whatever by a certain team boosts your captain/manager and you can dole out the rewards similar to this parallel system. Call them managers instead of captains

    I guess I’m piggybacking on your idea but instead of a “team captain” you have a manager

    Would be a cool grind for people to play more and more innings to achieve the squad bonii

    What SDS has lost is that a lot of players love their team and try to recreate teams yet they keep giving them no players to play with

    Now take your idea and actually SDS releasing a player per team per week and we’d have lineup diversity

    Now we’re making a soup

    Stop releasing 3 cards on one team and 0 on others

    It’d still have to be the same team’s cards. For example, if you captain modded a Padre, it would only boost Padres on your team. It would work just like the current team captains, just you get to pick the captain. I wouldn’t even mind if they capped the overall of the captain you can pick or if you captain mod someone, they don’t get the boost, but the other cards of that team get the boost.

    Yes. Explore it with teams first, then get into specialized switch hitter easy s tuff.

    They could make this game so much better if they took like a few Doughnuts and coffee in a bored room. Get it, bored board room and make meaningful changes

    @x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN You could make this work. Make the boost only from members of the same team. Make it to where you forego that players mods to become a captain. Also, make it a diamond mod, or maybe even something beyond diamond. Basically, a new mod that turns any player into a captain. This is a great idea. Only for team captains.
