Mini seasons so annoying

It's so god [censored] annoying that every new mini seasons has like every team with 90 + overalls and it doesn't matter how many times you restart. Games just a big pain this year man. Gotta torture myself to finish this, same with the new threads so annoying. It's just not fun it's more of chore. 25 was more enjoyable to grind

I saw a thread on MLB THE SHOW REDDIT about missing MTO. That it was a good alternative to Mini seasons to progress in DD. Not sure why they decided to get rid of MTO. I enjoyed that mode.

@LuvMyXBOX_XBL I suspect that they didn’t want people using it as a way to preload XP before new innings came out. Last year they made it a lot less rewarding. I also enjoyed MTO.

Yeah these pitchers are tough, it's why I like doing 9 inning games,it's easier to wear down a pitcher and they have real quick hooks in 3 inning.

On Rookie pitchers do not throw down the middle anymore. They changed the AI to try and get to full counts every at bat. Nibble...nibble and if 0 - 2 you will get 3 straight balls, this happens 99% of the time.
Also is it just me or is the Mural mini-season 10x harder than the previous ones? I don't think I have more than 4 hits in any game yet.

Yeah I may give up on the Mural mini-seasons. Effort not worth the reward. Rarely get anything over the fence with the Mural hitters, my only offense is Moniak or waiting til the 4th to Sac fly-sac fly my 1 run. Right now it's even questionable I'll make playoffs in my 3inn/28 game season, as opposing hitters often just run into one of my pitches.
Possibly might move to 9 inning games see if I have better luck, but once I get the cards will never touch this one again.

Years past you could do this but not this year, they changed all that. Just a struggle that's all.

Mural miniseason sucks you get mostly all fringe edge strikes or balls. What is interesting is that on 3-2 pitches they nibble the edges and chance the walk but it never results in a walk. Haven't had a 3-2 pitch over the plate.

@MetalDoc17_XBL this true of both rookie and veteran. 10 years ago I would do my stat grinding on rookie or veteran cuz for the most part, cpu would groove meatballs and you could knock things out without having to do sweats vs cpu. Now, I’m embarrassed to say a lot of my mini season games are 3-0, 3-2, 2-1, 1-0. Back in the day, 10 runs on veteran was pretty common. I don’t need “practice” while grinding. That comes from playing online. That’s just my opinion.

@platewelder_363_MLBTS Still pretty much Home Run Derby in the WBC and Cityscapes mini-seasons. Murals for some reason plays worse than Conquest games. I don't understand why they mess with difficulties like that.

Yeah, I’m working thru the New Threads mini season now. I can only play a couple of games at a time in this one.
Seems as if every game is a 1-0 win where I get a runner on first, steal 2nd and 3rd, and then sac fly them home. Just an absolute grind!
