Incorrect career highlight/milestone cutscene?
-
Just achieved my agent-assigned goal of 2000 career strikeouts with my SP/SS, and the in-game 'celebration' was correct - with the announcers talking about the right achievement, but... Post game, there was a 'Sportcenter-like' clip (2 presenters in a TV studio) about breaking the career hits record. I checked the league stats, and it still shows that record as 4256 by a Cincinnati Reds player back in 1986, so I don't think someone else in the league broke that record.
Anyone else have the game mix up what milestone it should be celebrating?

Please tell me you're just being facetious and you know who Pete Rose is.
Please?
The cut scene probably refers to him as such in the same way the all time records screen does, as well as SF Giants holds the career HR record not Reggie Stocker.

I'm aware of how Rose and Bonds are shown in game next to their record. That was not my puzzlement.
The OP's description of '4256 by a Cincinnati Reds player back in 1986' is what got me curious.
A normal person would say something like 'the record is still Rose's 4256' or something of that ilk. You wouldn't use the games verbiage to describe it.
