Player animations on base after hits
-
It would be cool if they let you select which animations your player does when they're standing on base after a hit. If you can select player home run animations, why not also for hits?
-
you can its the base hit celebration animation
-
I'd be more interested in turning off the HR animations.
I hate nothing more than circling the bases and waving and pointing to the crowds like I'm a pageant winner in a parade ... especially if I'm playing the Yankees in NY. If you did that IRL, the fans would jump the fences and beat the daylights out of you.

@geneticdefect89_XBL Hello everyone,
My name is Brian, I am 18 years old and I’m from Panama. I’ve been a big fan of MLB The Show for a long time, and I wanted to share an idea that I honestly think could completely change the online experience of the game.
My idea would be an “Online Road to the Show” mode.
The concept is simple:
every player controls only one position on the field, just like a real baseball team.Examples:
- One player is the pitcher
- Another is the catcher
- Another is the shortstop
- Another is the center fielder
- Etc.
The mode could use online matchmaking based on each player’s preferred position. If there are missing players, AI teammates could fill the empty spots.
I also think it would be amazing to have:
- Position-based rankings
- Progression based on performance and teamwork
- The ability to play with friends even without a full 9-player team
- Online leagues, playoffs, and tournaments
- A social hub where players can walk around stadium areas, train, find teammates, and join games
Another idea I had would be starting the career journey like many real-life Latino players:
- showcases
- academies
- scouts
- amateur leagues
- and then working toward reaching MLB
I feel like this would make Road to the Show feel more alive, more realistic, and much more immersive online.
Would you play a mode like this?

@stinkymcpooter_xbl You can always skip the animations.

True, but then you miss the exit velo and distance etc., and the commentary bleeds into the next at bat.
If you could shut Singleton up between batters, I'd do it all the time.
