Are perfect releases suppose to hit the spot or is just a random chance like the rest of the game?

Just random chance. SDS doesn't reward user input

Pretty much. Nothing says rewarding like grooving an 0-2 pitch for a HR on perfect release/input. I'm all for card stats mattering but the amount of override is ridiculous.

It’s fine. Pitchers don’t always hit their spots in real baseball either. Just slightly adjust fielding and the game is better than ever imo.

Eh, not really. Way too many grounders on high pitches. SDS STILL can't program sinkers correctly and way too many okay contacts on good timed/center-ish PCI swings. Not saying every one should be hits/HRs but seems to be a terrible balance. Sometimes contact results are just non-sense. Balls that should be driven into the ground turn into HRs. Hangers up in the zone should be at least line drives are routine DP balls...just all over the place.

Also pitchers do not hit spots all the time, but they also don't grove pitches every other AB either. Everytime I miss it seems like that low pitch comes up, that high pitch comes down, etc. Don't think I've missed lower than low or higher than high more than a couple times since launch.

It’s all the sliders for ranked online play that are out of whack. Playing in or watching custom leagues the game plays so much better. They have the user input sliders for pitching control to low, the pitch speeds are to high compared to offline, ( I could care less what speed they have it but at least have them match), exit velocities to low on good contact. The games been a copy paste for 5 years with minimal improvements.

Playing on directional I have noticed quite a few pitches going over the middle.

Lol. Theses joker's are making it so obvious. Had about 25-30 perfect release go nowhere near the intended spot on the Gibson moments.

Of course they dont always hit their spots in real life....like say for instance when it's not a perfect release.....this is a video game . If you're not rewarding input then where is the skill gap?

I completely agree with you . Custom league gameplay is far more fluid.
