I won't be able to complete 2nd inning in time
-
Just play with a team of all primary infielders.
It's my way of protesting "the man" by not playing

-
I got deep into every inning path last year & the year before, aside from like in the summer when I was on vacation for 2 weeks. Now it looks like I will average 300k on the path all year and get exactly zero Boss cards, ever. Folks saying "It's like this every year" are just making stuff up.
-
I just got the boss pack but that's only because I found XP in TA otherwise I wouldn't have even made it to the boss pack
-
I’m 50k xp away. Maybe tomorrow morning.
-
I got it done but I'm starting to feel early burnout with the game.
-
Guys all you need to do is play a classic game, set hitting difficulty to beginner, then you will start getting base hits and dingers so much, SKIP YOUR TEAM PITCHING, just hit. I AM NOT SURE, but I think you will get 4k XP by your 30th run, I recommend this WHEN you aren't playing diamond dynasty. I also highly recommend this during Double XP weekends because then you get way more xp and then you can get close to finishing the inning path. Simple as that. Edit: Also the classic games XP goal will take some time to complete because you gonna have to be playing classic for 10 minutes or smth if you are actually willingly to complete the inning path.

This is the only inning I have ever been in danger of not completing.
In fact, for years I just considered the xp path 100% passive and never anything to think about: doing all the programs and playing the conquests/mini seasons gets it done with a bunch of wheel spins, regardless of if you lay online or not.
If tomorrow's program has 25k in it I will complete it. But for the first time in my entire history playing the game I had to think about the track.
I considered not playing the newer content to save the xp for next inning, but in the end the rewards are bad on the track. A pack from the first week of the game, so generous. Followed by a single show pack. Pinch me.
If inning 3 is more of the same from inning 2 (in terms of content and rewards) I doubt Ill bother with inning 4. Ill just get my baseball fix from '23.

Yep. I’m very much in the same boat. I will be lucky to hit 400K this inning. Along with everything you said they keep nerfing the XP and rewards are single packs or something like 500 stubs. It’s truly pathetic how bad it’s gotten as they seemingly keep doing all they can to get players to break out the credit card.
I enjoy playing the game for what it is but when the rewards and packs are lacking eventually the motivation to continue playing just fades away. It’s quickly turning into a game for gambling addicts, streamers, or simply people that have nothing better to do with their day but live on the game.
People can do what they want with their lives and their time. However, if you don’t fit into one or more of those 3 categories listed above then the game is leaving you behind.

I could tell it was a lot harder in the 1st inning program. I barely finished it which has never even been a concern before with a 1st inning program. That’s when I play the game the most out of the year.
They are definitely a lot more stingy with XP chunks in programs and conquests. This is to direct people to play online or buy the bosses. There’s no other explanation for them making it more difficult.

100% agree. I wonder what kind of data they have telling them online spend more than offline?
I’m my opinion most competitive online players just focus on the meta cards and ignore most of the other cards unless they are required by a collection for another meta cards. Conversely, offline players like myself like to collect most if not all of the cards so we need to buy the cards that are obtained playing online. In other words I would wager offline players spend at least as much, if not more, than most online players.
Additionally, how many online players brag about being NMS. You never hear an offline player make that claim. Most offline players will buy stubs if it seems like it’s worth it. I usually buy a few early on, nothing crazy, and then rely on playing the game and flipping to get the remaining cards.
I feel SDS has misread the room big time on this one and could be pushing away some of their biggest spenders aside from steamers which just write off the thousands of dollars they spend on stubs anyway. Guess time will tell but if they continue down this path they are likely in for a ride awakening.

Teak - I might be right there with ya on '23 lol. I can't play '26 much longer.
TripleH - Are offline players buying live series? You can literally play with those players on other offline modes. I know streamers spend $2,000+ on opening night getting that done. Do offline players?
-
I've literally never struggled finishing the 500k but the fact that they put the bosses at the end and mixed with not a ton of program xp it was tough. I finished over the weekend and got a few spins but I played more than I typically need to. The first inning was ridiculously easy and I got bored and finished TA before the 2nd inning started. It's a legit complaint from people.
-
I don’t buy them per se. I’m still missing 12 live series high diamonds and I’m not buying them with real money. Usually I would put some money in early to help get kick started until flipping becomes viable. I was able to collect every card in the game for 21-25 but this year I’m likely abandoning that goal. My pack pulls have been terrible and I’m tired of being nickel and dimed on rewards and XP in this year’s game.
-
All I meant was I feel like online players don’t care about most cards in the game. They just want the meta cards to leverage the built in game mechanics. The only exceptions are content creators so they can “debut” the new card.
Offline players like me tend to like the collecting aspect of the game and focus less on meta players. Just my own opinion and what I’ve seen in the forums and thru playing this game for many years.
-
I was able to finish it pretty easily by just completing the programs and playing normally. Definitely slower than the 1st inning but I got the boss last weekend and have had I think 3 or 4 wheel spins so far.
-
I need 10000 xp with 1 day to go. Everything has been done. Any ideas how I might get it?
There's a program dropping today, might have what you need.
-
@Pergo_MLBTS How many TA did you finish in the first inning?
-
@GoozeFn_PSN All of them. Thats why the 1st inning was definitely faster.
EDIT: I should add I mean I finished the regular TA paths, not the #1 fan stuff or whatever its called. I don't even look at those and not trying to complete them.
-
@Pergo_MLBTS Yeah, that’s what I meant. The #1 fan stuff doesn’t have any xp in it.
