Most Inconsistent Online Experience
-
Finally got my fifth event win and Man that was excruciating.
I’ve genuinely never had such inconsistent experiences that I have with this year’s game. one game everything feels relatively crisp hitting input and output Makes at least some sense.
The next everything I swing at I’m late on, the connection being all choppy.
I just played someone who it was clear It was their first online game ever they played. literally swung at six change ups in the dirt in a row at one point for strikeouts, zero hits the entire game, but it went to extra innings because everything I made good contact with was just a lazy fly out.
I also knew he was gonna steal so I did a pitch out attempt, threw to second base, It beat the runner there by a good two steps and they called him Safe anyway.
why can’t we challenge in this game?
Also, I hate to say this, but I feel like parallel modds aren’t having the effect I was hoping they would.
even with prioritizing contact and power mods and a lot of my hitters it still feels like they swing noodle bats half the game or I’m swinging underwater. it’s just doesn’t feel like we have much control over the outcome I put a control mod on Felix and he still getting his cheeks clapped in the event.
Maybe it’s just an event thing. I have no idea, but I think that’s the last event I’m playing for a while
such a disappointment.

Yeah I've experienced all these things in the last two events including someone pitching out and throwing me out by a mile---yet, I was called safe. (haven't tried parallel mods though). Compared to the past three versions, there's something about online that's off. And I'm not making excuses for myself because I can tell my opponents are getting as screwed over as me, if not more.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN I legitimately find myself laughing out loud at the things that happen. Might just be an offline player rest of year. It’s so bad online.

Yeah there just isn't much to do offline.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN if they were smart, they would give us a couple diamond quests with the Mexico cards or rewards cards or contributor series cards that people need for the collection

Can’t figure out how to include images, but I figured it’s a new month, new beginnings, good vibes, April showers bring may flowers etc.
So I hop into ranked after taking a break:
Opponent Late swing: HOMER
Opponent Just Early: HOMER
Ball outside the strike zone: opponent double
Me: squared up good with Tulo = lineout
Me: perfect perfect grounder
Me: late swing wall scraper HR with Singleton (I was just trying to foul off an outside pitch)
Why are hit results so random on All-Star? Maybe I’ll try again in June

Mostly internet connection is the issue
-
Hitting is randomized. It’s one long algorithm, really, where the PCI and timing are the be-all end-all. Based on those two factors, the game rolls a dice to determine the outcome, and the animation follows. The game’s decided outcome sometimes completely ignores, actually mostly, real-world physics to get the result it decided, which is why we see balls phasing through gloves, good PCI resulting in popups and parabolas to infielders, and calls be absolutely [censored] butchered. No real-time physics whatsoever. We are playing a collection of recordings meshed together and called an MLB sim. This is prevalent in most of the industry, but they do a better job of hiding it at least. And that’s just hitting.
