Computer manager taking out my created player

I like to create full teams and sim them like I'm watching baseball on TV, once I start the game, the computer manager immediately takes out my created shortstop. Even if I have someone else start and replace him with the one I want, the next play the computer manager replaced him again. It doesn't matter if the replacement player doesn't even play that position. How do I make this stop?

The computer manager is just awful. I do player lock with my created player. He could be having an amazing game, and the computer will randomly pinch hit for him.
