As an offline player, I get the hint
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN the online is bad as well tho. Br is useless, half the time there isnt an event, and the multiplayer program is completed in a week. Ive ran out off offline content at some point during every year, but this is the first year where ive ran out of online content. I took my time with this multiplayer program and I still finished it with almost 3 weeks remaining.
Idk what they are doing this yesr.
-
Barely touched the game since last week’s drop; completed in what, 3 hours? Why play MS or Conquest on repeat when there’s nothing to grind for? And since I barely play I’m getting too rusty for online, so chicken and the egg I guess.
This game from March to September/October is usually 90+% of my gaming time; I’d day less than fifty overall since release and maybe 25% since XP Path 2. I might just jump back to franchise or find something else to play.
-
I’m at like 12 days played what’s that, 288 hours -a lot of them idle and I’m encroaching 280k
Most reasonable adults do not have this kind of time
Carry the one
Oh yeah the grind isn’t worth squat. Would be worth squat if they doubled pack odds, maybe just maybe added anything worthwhile to the XP path. Maybe fixed some bugs, just created a pleasant experience
Every time you finish a miniseason “regular season” you get to not see any progress due to their ignorance I guess. Here, look at a 0 Orioles card
Why would they even allow that bug to persist baffles me but hell they’ll carry that to next year they just don’t care
What do they do all day? Do they watch streamers? What occurs in their offices

@TripleH-4481_PSN I mean are you saying you only got the game to play offline? You should still be getting most of the xp through every offline mode to be higher than where your at.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN I mean are you saying you only got the game to play offline?
Do people still not understand that gamers generally prefer PvE to PvP? Whenever someone does a poll in reddit its clear that there are more offline players than online in DD. And a long term progression mode has massive appeal to the PvE crowd so this should surprise no one

I'm starting to feel the same way. I'm just not enjoying any type of game play anymore. Last year I enjoyed offline and played exclusively. Got every card you could purchase.
Lately, it just isn't fun anymore. I'm doing well on the collections. I completed the Live series and am in pretty good shape with the new collections. The gameplay just sucks now. I'm terrible online. I can admit that and enjoy the offline play if SDS would just allow that.
-
Last year I had all XP innings paths done within 10 days.
Even in inning one i had it done in about 14-15 days.
We are well over two weeks in and i'm still nearly 200k away from a boss.
The offline content is down, the endless freezes are up.
-
agreed. SDS has destroyed this game for offline and online players. From making it near impossible to complete XP paths, to impossible to complete even lower level collections. Something needs to change.
I have been playing The Show since 2016, and I basically have barely played now for a few weeks other then selling some cards now and then. it is stale, it is boring, and not rewarding to play.
I'll probably just wait until later this year to play, so I can allow content to build up so I might have a realistic chance of finishing some content.
-
@yankblan_PSN Agree with this, I just wish franchise was better. Franchise peaked almost a decade ago and has gone down hill ever since they got rid of Y2Y saves, Sounds of the Show, etc.
-
The only reason I've finished the first two innings is because I've been out of work due to hernia surgery. No way I'll get to keep up the pace when I return to work next month. There just isn't enough xp to attain the rewards which I believe last year the reduce it after the first inning or two because not enough of the fanbase were reaching the end goal. No double xp or pxp yet either. It's just a bad sign where the game is heading
-
A few hours of content and nothing for another week. Crazy.
-
In the past, the Mexico City Series would have been a program. The fact that it’s all tied this year to an online event tells me that The Show’s gradual nudge since 2022 for everyone to play online is complete.
-
I had assumed there would be a program post event however it's not on the calendar. I wonder if it's because it doesn't involve key teams with key players. Hardly any big names foe both teams besides Tatis.
-
Or…hear me out: you offline players can go play the event, lose a few games and try to get better. I had the event program done in about 90ish minutes and that included stopping to eat dinner and watching some actual baseball.
The requirements to finish the base program aren’t hard at all. Winning 5 games on all-star may suck for you. But then again, you may have to use your brain and lay off a slider outside the zone.

@GoozeFn_PSN next weeks drop better be big… Mexico series was a mid to small sized drop (conquest was time consuming) nothing else about it took long tho. People just got so lost in the l and f collection this game gets so stale Monday to about Thursday then only picks up again around 4pm my time Friday good till ur done all the content by Saturday night and then Sunday may play a cpl ranked games or smt rinse and repeat I want a big content drop like a rly big one like ta sized drop. I’m sorry but only having one ta this year is rly showing and not in a good way.
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN It does look like a bigger drop next week, but a couple hours of content a week is just unacceptable. I was done with yesterday’s drop in a few hours. One a week drops is awful. This is the worst content has been in a very long time.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN weren’t mid week programs a thing last year I could be wrong but I swear i remember content being amazing last year.
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN Content started slow last year too, but mostly we got Tuesday/Friday drops.
-
They are very actively pushing casual single player DD players away, which is insane, since that is most of the DD player base. Still no repeatable for packs conquest. Requiring playing on All-Star for the reward card in Mini-Seasons. Preparing to require certain difficulties for things as simple as XP rewards in the reward path (the only reason it would say get X HRs on any difficulty, which it never has before). I have played very little this year, despite this being my main game for the last decade. It is very clear they don't want people that don't spend money, apparently fundamentally misunderstanding that the FTP players are required to prop up the whale economy. They also just don't seem to be putting much effort at all into this year. Sets and Seasons sucked, but at least they were trying. I'm not so sure that's true this year. Certainly doesn't seem like it. It looks like they've already checked out, knowing what is coming next year.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN I check every new content drop, hoping they will finally release an actual repeatable conquest map (they haven't) or fix the error that was requiring All-Star for the reward card in the New Threads Mini-Season (they haven't). Obviously, yeah, if the content continues the way it is, I will quit bothering to check the game and obviously I'll never buy or even look at it again, because why would I? This is not a "oh, they might fix it next year" situation like NHL is. This is a "fix it soon or I'm done for life" one. I've put thousands of hours in MLB. I don't want to walk away. That doesn't mean I won't. They are taking us for granted. That is a mistake.
