This game is way too hard for beginners
-
@markemark_NSW No. I have played for years and don't need to. But there is also a retro game in the main menu that I haven't tried. Maybe your kid can try that.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN retro mode would be the easiest per say I’ve tried it once and it’s literally if ur capable of pressing x u can play.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN
Are you monitoring this thread so you can feel good about yourself knowing that you’re A better player than us? Just stay off this thread, dude. -
@markemark_NSW Rookie isn’t any harder than it’s ever been. You can also practice on beginner. Frankly, if my son was complaining about this game being too hard, I’d tell him to go practice. Parents are too [censored] soft. Teach them how to deal with adversity. This game isn’t that hard.
-
@markemark_NSW I can do what I want dummy. I was making a quote from "League of Their Own". I am sorry your kid is bad at the game though. Life is going to be hard without the participation trophy.
-
@markemark_NSW ok so I’m not here to argue I’m not here to attack to anything but I’m just here to ask the question. if they make the game easier then it already is what happens to the higher skill players? Are we just supposed to get on 28-27 or 30-28 score games so they made the game easier? Cause I’m sorry the “pitching is impossible” outrage that would start would be ridiculous and I’m sorry it’s not baseball at that point it’s a measly back yard wiffleball game.

@GoozeFn_PSN
The real question might be whether SDS will listen to people like me or listen to people like you (if they listen at all). If they listen to people like you, then they will be chasing a lot of customers away. If they listen to me, then they will be accommodating a greater number of players at different skill levels. Does it really bother you that lower level skill players play offline and finish programs weeks (sometimes months) after you do? -
SDS should put in bumper lanes so my kid doesn't hit any more foul balls.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN
Maybe you missed it, but I’ve already said this. I don’t want them to make it easier. I’m saying they should not have made it harder from ‘25. -
@markemark_NSW oh ok my apologies but imo 26 is way easier then 25 the amount of bloop hits u get this year is crazy. This year as the “worse” player u can still win as last year the better player won 95 percent of the time this year is literally a coin toss as to who wins.
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN
Maybe it’s just a matter of style of play or the different approaches we take that makes it harder for me. and it seems like you’re talking multiplayer online. I’m talking about off-line play -
@markemark_NSW it could be I’m rly not sure I’ve had stretches where this game feels hard and I get it. but I almost always come out the light at the end of the tunnel. And for ur kid im sure he has lots of shows ahead of him if he doesn’t have it yet im sure he will eventually rtts is a great way to practice hitting or even practice mode.
-
Honestly, I’m not talking about my kid. My 14-year old is way better than I am. I referenced others who have mentioned their kids in the forums. I just struggle and I’ve noticed a change from last year.
-
@markemark_NSW The difficulties have been largely the same for 10+ years. I think you overestimate the difficulty of this game for most people. Lowering the difficulty won’t make you better. Practice.
-
I usually try to comment with substance with solutions. For us online aka better players just give us alot more online grindable content. That way we dont have to play offline as much. For the offline players give them more as well. Both can be done. I for one dont ever want to play offline because it makes me worse at the game. There is a way to cater to both players.
-
@markemark_NSW They didn’t make it harder. It’s the same hitting engine.
-
I have no problem admitting (if it’s true) that my skills are diminishing. I know I was never great to begin with. Just trying to figure out and inquire from the community (without all the trolls) about their experience with difficulty levels

@Ditka06_MLBTS
See, this is a constructive response from a different kind of player than me without lording it over worse players. Thank you. -
I've been playing for years and my son who loves baseball wanted to start playing too at about 8 years old. Every year he would try and rookie was too hard for him so he would give up after a few days. He was finally able to start enjoying the game at age 12. It makes me wonder where this game would be if younger kids could enjoy it and not give up due to it being too hard on the easiest level for them. I imagine most kids just wouldn't come back each year like mine did.

@markemark_NSW you're welcome. I know there are two types of players on here. Im not even that good. I just prefer the online competition.
