How does this work besides ranked rating. I seem to always be playing people from the east coast and none from the central where I am located. Wouldn’t the connection be better from playing more people from the same region? Any input is welcome.

Let me guess, you have fiber. SDS does not know how to handle fiber internet and thinks you can match with people half way across the country and have a good game. I was always playing people from east and west coast while being from Missouri and it was miserable. Along with the 120 mph wiffle balls there were a plethora of other things too long to list. Feels like you're throwing slow pitch softball. Check your pm's and try that and let me know.
