My opponent decided to pause after he got four consecutive hits. While he was doing that I paused as well and set up a mound visit to boost my starters confidence. Once I did that it would not let me back out and there was no timer on my screen. The other guy disconnected after about four minutes.
So put that in your back pocket next time somebody is playing obnoxiously and beating you or you are too intoxicated to continue playing.
