I’m fairly new to The Show.
Did previous versions release new special packs almost weekly with such terrible odds?
Twice now I’ve purchased the five sets of new headliners packs and the best I pulled was Altuve. That’s 75,000 stubs spent. Such a waste. I know I’m the fool for doing it, but it feels like fools like me are being preyed upon. -

Now they offer one feature card twice a week, it's better for their pocket books.
Since you're new to the show, here's a tip, never buy packs
-
They tell you that you have a 1:10 chance of getting a diamond. You got a diamond in one of your 10 packs. What more do you want? There are 34 live series diamonds. Of those, only 7 are worth more than 75K. That means if you buy 10 headliner packs there’s about a 20% chance of you getting a diamond where you will break even or come out with more stubs than you spent.
The moral of the story is you shouldn’t buy packs.

Where do people see this??

Even as a Sox fan I don’t really like this. I would much rather have a FS Eloy than a second Madrigal that will replace the one that just came out a few weeks ago. Really weird choice.
I think and hope Eloy will be an Affinity Card

This. It’s starting to get a bit weird already and it’s early days yet. We have an 86 Madrigal prospect, superseded by a 95 Madrigal Future Star, a totally different card altogether. We also have the whole prestige thing where you can take 93 Oswalt, for example, upgrade him to a 95 and it’s a totally new different card altogether. We’re even taking 99s like Sheffield and Mantle and turning them into another, improved 99 that’s a totally different card altogether.
So I can’t help but wonder, are we going down the road of having a million different versions of each card, all slightly better than the last version? Because I’m not chasing my tail all year getting an 84 Frank Thomas, then an 88 Frank Thomas, then a 93 that you can turn into a 95, followed by a 99, then an even better 99 that replaces that. By November we’re all going to have eight unsellable versions of every card just clogging our inventories. -

Maybe they are going the Madden route, but wait until you see those 3RD INNING BOSSES!! We got a 98 Nick Madrigal, a 96 overall John Franco and last but not least, a 99 and a half overall Gary Sheffield with a GOLD DIAMOND!! !!!!

Dont you find it hilarious they gave collins a prospect card in team affinity and he's in free agency?

Not even remotely close to Madden.
They'd need to include a base Madrigal, his prospect, and then his new future star card. The only way he's allowed to make contact vs LHP is if you upgrade his card to a power up where you collect all 3 and then add 50k stubs. Oh you want him to be able to field ground balls to his right? Another 20k. The ability to steal a base? Well that'll be another 25k.
Madden is on their own insane level of money grab/lunacy

I’m glad they did because that card absolutely smashes for me lol.

Sorry, didn't see the posts below this one about Madden before posting and don't have privileges to delete.
