@Nate_7_Dog_PSN I’m here to agree with you skill is basically out the window this year. Game feels much more rng then years past and I have talked to several people in my inner circle who agree. Some of which are better then me some of which are worse then me. I have friends who are around 1000 ranked who agree with this. I also am personally off to my worse start in ranked ever and just had my worse weekend classic ever despite finishing live series collection fastest I ever have. I will say it again as I have multiple times the game feels like a complete coin flip wether ur gonna win or not wether ur gonna get the bloops the perfect perfect lineouts the called balls that are more then 50% in the zone the checked swings etc. I’ve just been trying to accept this is the game we have and we have to make do with what we have atleast for me as a die hard baseball fan. I don’t get to play anymore so this is my closest thing to baseball games I get it just sucks that it’s hard to deal with sometimes and not a joy. But just be ready people are gonna come in here and call u bad and a cry baby but this is coming from me a World Series player which Ik isn’t as cool as it used to be. which I also have been World Series every season for last 2 years but I still will get called mid and a whiner by somebody who probably doesn’t even play online lol.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN completely agree with everything you said. I started weekend classic around 850 rating and have fell well below that now being 0-4 in weekend classic which is my worst weekend classic ever although I feel my skill level is the highest it’s ever been.

@Nate_7_Dog_PSN I feel like my skill is on par with last year last year I was in the same division 800-899 and went 4-2 and in the second one went 5-1 just lost on a walk off or would have been 6-0. I’m gonna try setting my expectations as low as possible next weekend classic. Just one win at a time because this weekend classic I was expecting my 4-5 wins minimum like last year and got a major wake up call. But losses I got where out of my control except 1 where I got 10 runned by some real sweat and I left crochet out to dry. It’s just annoying losing to people who u beat in avg exit velo every game cause u get blooped to death.

There is definitely rng. I dont think anyone can argue this, If they actually play online more than a few games. You cannot explain how someone wins a game with worse play and worse inputs. How how incredibly unlucky one player is over another. Oh and dont forget the double play that is absolutely coded into this game to happen all the time.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL idk I haven’t ran into the double play issue myself so I can’t rly speak on that front.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN ok thats good. In the mlb double plays happen on average 1.5 to 2 times per game. Or 11 percent of the time there is a man on first base. Im seeing way more than that.

I’ve had two awesome games with awesome people. I’m 0-2. Couldn’t care less

Pretend you’re not streaming and just play baseball and it’s remarkably fun

@JenkinMeyer_PSN yeah comeback energy feels forced into every game this year. Scoring the first run feels more like a curse this year.

I always wonder about that but I pitch terribly in the 9th, it’s in my own head. I think the game can’t take the blame in the 9th.

And opposing team just feeds on your anxiety and murders you. That’s baseball.

And that’s what makes the weekend Classic so cool

Play a hard 8 innings, then just unravel in front of your own face for those last 3 outs

Ive had awesome games too, but just way too much scoring on HOF. Last game 15-10. Scored more than 10 runs in every game except the one I loss by ten runs. That game I lost was to the better player for sure. I am 40-0 in the last two events. I honestly have only lost games to either better players or equal players. I have had some bad games but mostly on me.

Yes there are some frustrating parts like perfect-perfect HR fall balls and perfect pitching but cant hit the strikezone. But you arent getting some big upsets. Most of the time I find it is that some people are really bad at pitching and get mad when they get smacked with hits all over the field. Then they swing at pitches on the black for hard outs.

I think it is time for RTTS after this. Just played someone that torched all my pitchers until I told him I was reporting and he magically stopped hitting. Played high level ball and can't even see the ball. Feels like pitchers are pitching from 30' and the ball appears the last 20. I've had many times where the game hasn't been fun and think I reached my edge. I don't even care about getting high in the ranks (actually don't have a chance in hell anyway). I can dot pitches all day and people hit them like I'm throwing slow pitch softball. I've dumbed down my internet as much as I can. Game actually plays better with bandwidth limiter at 10/10 but still is awful. Regular 900/900 is comical. Might even go back to golf. I don't have to worry about Timmy stealing McDonald's wifi down the street. Feel like I grinded mini seasons at least 50 times for absolutely nothing.

@virusts_PSN you are exactly the point some of us are making. Obviously you are really good at the game. Most of us are not. The game is not going to effect someone like you who can literally square the ball up everytime. It effects the rest of us who already struggle. Then when we square the ball up and get nothing it effects us even more. You get it? 40 and 0 in events is all I needed to hear to know you are a top 1 percent player. Of course the [censored] doesnt effect you.

Get out of here with your honest assessment, the rules specifically state that you must (female dog) about it being all the games fault, and heavily exaggerate what happened

Not even exaggerating, this is the worst MLB The Show of all time. Everything about this game is terrible or bugged. It should be criminal for them to charge any amount of money for this. SDS is washed, and should just sell the rights to a different developer. It’s the right thing to do.

@ApolloZ_99_MLBTS SDS is a sinking ship. Time for them to hang it up and sell the rights. They are doing the MLB is disservice by making the game so bad, This game gets significantly worse each year.
