By the way, the silver packs have just as good of a chance to pull a diamond as standard packs do. Last year, I pulled Judge twice from a DQ silver pack.

@datnickdogg351_psn thanks for the advice. I played the one where you get the eggs (I typically do that one) and had a 99% chance and got them!

I then played the next one where you get Broxton(?) as a reward. I had a 55% chance to get him and actually DID get that reward. I was pleasantly surprised.

If they get harder and the actual chance to get the high end rewards fade in Veteran, there will be a time where I just won’t play DQ any further. I guess that’s OK, but disappointing….

I guess since I play on veteran, I need to get in the habit of going thru every square. I don’t make a straight line to the stadium challenge, I kinda “stroll” towards it, mainly to avoid that “sweeper dude”.
I got caught by him just once. Never again!! I never knew a team of commons could hit and pitch like that! It was U-G-L-Y. Like 9-0 after the first inning.

@capardo_XBL that's because the sweeper game is automatically on Legend or HOF difficulty.. The key to beating DQ is the same as show down..Load your roster up with fast good contact/fast guys that can bunt.. then sprinkle in 2 or 3 power, good vision guys to drive them in at 4 to 6 spots in your line up..At the top and bottom of the lineup load the fast guys bunt your way on. or get a normal hit. be patient even draw a walk.. Steal your way to third, sacrifice that run in. Pitch well and play defense and you can win on high difficulty. You need to put your top 5 pitchers in your rotation. pitch your 5th starter to always face the teams worst starter. which can sometimes be a silver or a bronze. Then use 4 good relievers. 2 lefty and right RP to be able to close down the game and match batter handedness. It about using small ball and pitch location to win on higher difficulty..

So, I went back and played the DQ where you get Garrett Anderson as the big reward. This time, I went over every square. Finally saw the “coaches cart”! I won every challenge and showdown (except 1 or 2). Got to the Angels stadium and had a 100% chance of getting Anderson on Veteran! I was extremely happy for that. Won that game and also received 15 packs for the 2 hour effort. Not bad.

Based on the starting and final percentages, I added 76% to my chances of getting Anderson by clearing the board.

Just passing this on for anyone else, like me, who is exploring DQ for the first time.

Going forward, I’ll add 75% to the initial percentages of getting each type of reward, see if it’s worth my time and count on clearing the board. Play the stadium games on Veteran.

So far, my experience is not too bad….

Be aware, not every DQ is goigg by to give you that big a percentage boost. I think the one you did is the tutorial one, so they pretty much guarantee you get the cards. The next one with Feller and Musial is much tougher, doing all the squares gets you to around 60% on AS, lower for veteran and rookie. Still kinda worth it for the additional packs even if you don’t get all the cards, YMMV.

@savagesteve74_psn thanks for the info. This is extremely disappointing to hear. I’ll give the next one a try to verify what you are saying (I’m sure it’s true)

If so, that’s probably it for me and DQ (this year). Two plus hours of Moments and Showdowns for only a 60% chance of getting a single card? Not sure that’s worth it.

On top of that, I was tracking XP gained while I was clearing the board. It wasn’t much.

@savagesteve74 thanks for the warning! Ha ha. Tried the Musial/feller DQ. Yeah, everything I dislike about Showdowns reared its ugly head as I traveled around the board.

I was about 50/50 on the challenge/showdowns. They were significantly harder. Very few of my good swings were rewarded. Many hits right at fielders. Bronze pitchers dotting, especially with runners on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Like I said, typical Showdown shenanigans.

Anyway, barely beat the Cards stadium with a 35% chance to get a card. Didn’t get one. Cashed out and D-O-N-E with DQ.

Overall, IMO, DQ is an offline way for online players to grind. Definitely not for offline players.

Like, late in the year? Because I don’t see anyone sniffing a diamond from a silver OR gold pack right now. It’s hard enough to get DIAMONDS out of a Ballin’ pack! Ballin’ packs net me more double golds than anything.

Remember 2 years ago at the end of the year they boosted diamond odds so it was easier to pull and then last year went right back to [censored] odds all year

Mine was early in the year. My buddy who plays has pulled 3-4 diamonds from silver packs this year.
