Pay attention to the base coach, or the on-screen instructions?

I've had this happen enough times and in enough different scenarios that I know I'm not imagining it.

I hit a leadoff double, so I'm standing on 2nd and the next batter hits a sharp grounder up the middle for a base hit.

As I'm making my way to 3rd, the top-of-the-screen message says "Stay! Stay! Stay!", but when I look at the 3rd base coach, he is windmilling his arm and the audio said "You're scoring! You're scoring!".

I decided to do what the coach's signs told me to do, and scored standing up (no need to slide).

This 'disagreement' between the coach and the on-screen instructions always seems to be the same sort of thing - the on-screen says 'Stay', but the coach signals to advance another base. I don't think I've seen the disagreement be the other way around.

Of course, this doesn't happen every time - but I'm starting to wonder if there is a way to turn off the on-screen prompt, and just listen to the audio and look at the coach (if I don't feel confident in my own judgement of how far to advance when a teammate puts the ball in play).

How has everyone else's experience been with this?

I can't say I've experienced that (I don't pay attention to the text on the screen, but I'll look out for it now) but it would certainly need to be addressed, along with the 3B coach standing there doing absolutely no coaching at all at times - just as frustrating!
