Why?
-
Why waste peoples time with this rigged @ss Diamond Quest. You go flawless through everything waste 25 min beating the missions to only go on rookie with a 100% chance of the Epic. You get stuck out 9 times, every single swing is a pop up and you lose the egg and everything else..
Go back to give another shot, can't get hit, can't score a run, can't get them out....on Rookie. Every single hidden reward on the map is a token of misfortune.
This is stupid!
-
So, Im legitimately not trying to be mean....but, if you can't beat Rookie, how do you beat anything else in this game? Like, everything else is tougher.

Because diamond quest isn't guaranteed to give everything good to you. That's how life works. Not every event is going to be good.

If you strike out to the computer 9 times in a 3 inning game on rookie it might be time to find yourself a new game
-
This is bait
-
Not bait. I just don't understand how you roll nothing but 1''s and get continuous tokens of misfortune throughout the entire quest. Hard to say it's just bad luck when it happens so frequently. Rookie is where I go to grind and where I play to just get the moment/quest done.
-
@thaghettoblasta_psn I am an offline only grinder myself. Admittedly, haven’t played DQ (yet) this season. I will say that playing on Rookie this year is DIFFERENT. As in harder than previous years. I’ve lost several head scratching games on Rookie so far
I switched to Veteran exclusively. Just about all the shenanigans I saw on Rookie have gone away.
-
I don’t believe this thread, they basically are giving you the 2 eggs and a few free packs. This reminds me of the guy that said Ramone was dotting when his only pitch was an 80 mph fastball in showdown one year and he couldn’t beat it. Maybe it’s time to play some Mario Cart and give up on MLB the Show if your striking out against the computer on rookie.
-
Yeah, it is generally a good idea not to drop acid and play dq. Even on rookie.

All I have to say is, wow. You speak truth but wow.
-
Why not? Dock Ellis pitched a no hitter on acid
-

@rms1980rms_PSN you aren’t doc Ellis, that’s why.

@capardo_XBL
Both rookie and veteran definitely are different this year. The last 2-3 years, I found veteran easier than rookie. But I am struggling more with veteran this year. So I’m experiencing the opposite that you are, but that’s good for you! 1.3 PXP multiplier when you move up to veteran. -
@rubicante23_PSN You absolutely are trying to be mean.
You repeatedly belittle others about their skill level, which is really sad. -
He should change the a in his name with a u

There are a lot of internet tough guys that love to talk down to others like their ego is tied directly to their skill in this game which is both pathetic and sad.
To me it’s simply a reveal of who they are as people and suddenly their words and opinions carry zero weight or significance to me moving forward.
Plenty of good and helpful people on here that are willing to support and understand criticism and frustration with this game without getting personally offended.
