I'm NMS, have grinded my [censored] off and I think I have about 20 teams done but i'm still well over a million stubs away from finishing it, and that's factoring in that i pulled Shohei.

If you're NMS and you don't have some cheesy stub-making method (like some flipping algorithm), it's gonna take you till July, with average luck. But, that's how it's intended to be. Maybe longer if you also try to buy new collections, spotlight, etc.
If we lived in the old pre-microtransactions vudeo game world, people would just accept this....remember the days when you actually had to do everything in a game to get the best rewards? The old days, before content creators were a thing - ah, nostalgia

I've been insanely lucky and pulled Ohtani and Judge. With that said i've still only completed 14 teams. It's pretty hard for me to make stubs (I work full time and am a full time supporter of my daughters travel soccer team). I'll probably bite the bullet and buy some stubs to get some cards i want to try before theyre not relevant anymore. I find some of the grinding methods (playing WBC mini seasons over and over and over or card flipping) to simply be too tedious. If I only have an hour or two to play the game daily i like to enjoy it.

Some of us flippers do it legit. This is the first year I have bought stubs. I always start out with low value cards first day or two to build bank and then roll into gold and diamond flipping. Last year was the most difficult flipping year so thinking it was going to be the same I bought 300K stubs to give me a head start going right to diamonds.
Turns out, it didnt make much of a difference as the bots have killed most margins. Unless you are someone who knows how to work the market it can be difficult to explain just how truly impactful the bots have been but those that know... KNOW. The problem is, it's not just market flippers that are impacted. Its all of us. They drive up the cost of cards on the buy side by being able to instantaneously +1 every buy orders (until it reaches an unprofitable margin) and then the orders just sit there at the inflated rate because the pull rates aren't high enough to clear the orders and bring the price back down.
There's a reason why SDS wipes buy and sell orders to a baseline level for certain pieces of diamond equipment every day (except on weekends it seems lol) at certain times otherwise people would be forced to paying max rate for what they want to buy.
The frustrating part for ME is I can afford to drop a G every month on stubs to buy any cards I want but I actually enjoy the aspect of working the market to build my team. I was like that in madden and here with TS. No hate to people who buy their team but it just never seemed like it would be overly "rewarding" to me.

And I almost never use cards I have to use stubs on, I would rather earn cards through gameplay. I miss 2023 (and to a lesser extent 2024) for that, collections were easy to accomplish without the market.

I agree that something needed to be done about the bots and the inflation. Unfortunately I have been restricted making it difficult for me to even get collections on this inflated market. I agree. Let's go back to the way collections were in 23 were they were easier.

@Tuke7-1_PSN some guy saw my team yesterday and after Pujols hit a walk off he messages me and just says “how much”. I was like nothing im basically nms and for mlb atleast I am every year. And he goes yeah right, im like man idk what else to tell u i got ridiculously lucky pulls this year. I am still al west and central away from tulo but only money I spent was like the one time offer on PlayStation where u pay like 3.99 for 8k stubs cause it’s a good deal. but besides that ive pulled 2 shohei’s 2 skenes a lindor a Marte and he was so hard to believe me for some reason he bickerd back and forth for like15 mins. I just was like dude idk what else to tell u i got lucky it doesn’t mean i spent money.

My issue with the LS collection from 22 and 23 is that those cards were basically irrelevant because of how prevalent high OVR cards were available right from the start. Even the high OVR LS cards were useless by comparison to what was available for free.

So, every year I buy the game and my wife gets me a 50$ PSN card to kind of jump start my team. Beyond that, I don't spend anything else. I manage to complete the LS collection with some years taking me longer than others. Last season took the longest even with pulling Ohtani on release due to the increased difficulty in flipping and so many LS cards becoming so called "gatekeepers."
I have seen videos posted at around the 2 week mark of people completing the LS collection with "No money spent," and I just don't believe it. Even today, with some prices having dropped from the release rush, the 14 most expensive cards are still running nearly 2.4 million stubs. Unless they have just gotten obscenely lucky with their pulls, I don't believe most of those claiming "NMS" are being truthful.
This is pointless, I know, just felt like ranting a bit.
So I have played this game a bunch. Probably over 25 mini season runs alone and finished the big conquest maps along with all TA's completed. My best pulls were Witt, Soto and Seager. I have bought Raleigh, JRam and Skubal. I will likely have Judge bought here in a few days. I have sold pretty much everything I can along the way meaning I don't have Pasqantino, Garcia, Griffin or the new threads collection. I am still probably a good 1.5 million away from completing collections. You simply can't get collections done without pulling Judge or Ohtani until like June it seems like to me unless you pull a Witt like 10 times. Packs on mini seasons have been super dry for a long time.
Especially with the streamers, don't believe their NMS bs. All of them pull Ohtani and/or Judge or spend your money. Streamers and cheat devices have ruined online gaming. Without really good pulls or spending money, you are simply not getting collections done until likely June. Like I said, I have played a ton and sold about everything I could.

The collection comment was more about the secondary collections. That Chipper in 2023 was basically the equivalent of last years Rolen/Williams/etc. Except those 2023 collections were grindable whereas 2025 and very likely 2026 require use of stubs. The 2023 secondary collection model felt far more rewarding when you earned the cards.
Live Series will always be stub heavy because its SDS's big money maker

@Tuke7-1_PSN Believe whatever you want, but it can absolutely be done. I’ve been doing it for years. I finished the collection on Friday which is probably the real reason I’ve been banned on the app. It’s all about making stubs and acquiring players as efficiently as possible.
For making stubs, all I’ve done is the silver to gold exchange. I basically put every stub into buy orders for silvers from the app. 20 orders for every single silver. Exchange them (on console) and sell the golds for profit. Repeat. That’s it. I don’t mean to make this sound easy. While the process is easy and no risk, it’s a lot of work to do it enough times to get it done this quickly. I’ve been doing it obsessively since launch.
Most people rush into completing the cheaper collections first which is a mistake. Buying commons and bronze cards for hundreds of stubs is dumb. I sell every card above quicksell value unless I pull a 90+ diamond. My goal is to buy every common for 5 and every bronze for 25. I rush to buy the most expensive cards first and worry about collections when I’m getting close to having every diamond. High diamonds go up over time while low/mid diamonds go down. I bought Ohtani for 530k. Now he’s at 650. I saved 100k+ by getting him first. Same for Judge. Bought 330 and now he’s 400. My only high diamond pull was Soto. I kept him. My best pulls besides that were Crochet twice who I sold. I sold every low/mid diamond unless they were near quicksell to get the high diamonds as soon as possible. The savings comes by selling the low diamonds too. I sold some low guys for 20-40 and bought them back cheaper. I sold everything that isn’t the live series.
Full disclosure, I bought $2.99 worth of stubs 7500 because it was a good deal for early stubs and the digital deluxe edition.

This seems fine to me. Its not supposed to be something done by April. But don't underestimate dedicated no lifers either. You have played over 25 mini seasons. I bet there are people with over 200. 175*10 packs * 800 EV = 1.4m. Plus all the non bundle packs and ballins. Easily makes up the difference to your 1.5m gap
And there is no such things as packs being dry or juiced.

@Ditka06-_MLBTS man I have no reason to lie about this are we 6. I’ve played a bit of mini seasons not a lot made sure I was knocking out ta while playing it. Got a lot of ballin packs plus the 10 show packs after every season got lucky there is not a word to lie in what I said. I’m a adult I don’t have to come on the internet and lie to people for closure only money I’ve spent is the one time offer on ps and deluxe edition of u count that.
