Companion app not connecting to the market
-
@itsmitty3_PSN well I noticed at 4am and mine just started working an hour ago ..like I said ..we have no idea because SDS doesn't respect their paying customers enough to update them.
-
@WavesYo_PSN same day as any other day to flip ..nothing good
-
@Stinkysman77_MLBTS I’ve heard the same thing about flipping. Hate that SDS doesn’t care about any of it
-
I hate that no one from SDS or moderators can address the issue in ANY way. I mean WTF?!?
-
@NWOStunna_PSN no respect for their customers...which they should realize.... without them..they have no job
-
If these bans are because of players flipping too much, then why does SDS studios not just put in place some timer/cool down element into using the market. Like would it be that hard to put in a limit of 25 transactions in the market per hour to combat flipping? Not that I would agree with that either, as market card flipping seems to be a element of the game that many play it for. Also, nowhere in the TOS does is say you can't flip in the market. It only mentions you can't use bots or scripts.
-
@SiberiaTigerCub_PSN It is not so much as flipping too much, it is more the speed at which it is being done. If the flipping, placing new orders and modification of orders are being done at what they consider too great a speed (they figure that you are using automation or macros or bots to do the transactions that fast), then you can get an account restriction placed on you to where you can only buy and sell via playing the game on the console. You end up losing access via the website and the app for the year of the game you are doing this in, i.e. MLB the Show 26, but you can still access other versions via the website or app.
The one problem with this is that it can catch honest people who have fast data entry skills, along with the bad actors.
I hate that no one from SDS or moderators can address the issue in ANY way. I mean WTF?!?
I don't think they have ever responded with a group message as to why these happen. If someone turns in a support ticket, they will say that it is due to suspicious activities on the website or app, but I don't think they have ever posted about a large amount of people restricted.

Funny ..ask my gf about my texting..I'm definitely not fast on the phone lol
-
@PsylockeSmythe_XBL I have two cell phones. I use both to simultaneously monitor the market prices and the other to place the leading bid. I am fast with my fingers and can get a leading bid in about 1 second after checking the most recent price, as I hover over the place a buy order screen on my second phone. That's not cheating, but it is an advantage. I have played this franchise for 12 years, and getting labeled a cheater by SDS studios is the point that chases me away for good.
-
@SiberiaTigerCub_PSN I completely understand what you are saying, and why how they do it, catches both the honest players along with the bad actors at times.
My only suggestion is to slow down. I don't flip anymore. I do sell any duplicates cards or items, but I make sure that I don't place my orders when selling them as fast as I could.

I'm trying to imagine the efforts they have gone to to ruin investing and flipping vs how much actual money they think they will now bring in by stopping this. Just another example of stupid out of touch people in charge of decisions that will in the end cause more harm to their product than good
-
Well, I have been banned, without even a warning flipping wasn't allowed. At first I thought maybe they banned me because I am located in Russia, and the PSN network isn't supposed to be accessible here (I use VPN), but then I see others are having the same issue. I might just move off of this franchise. To be honest, I like playing the market just as much as the baseball game. In fact, I barely touch diamond dynasty as much as I do road to the show.
-
Wait. Are people really banned? Yesterday the site was down but it seems to be working again.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN I think they are restricting accounts and reviewing them...but that is just a guess since this company doesn't respect it's paying customers enough to let them know what's going on.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN They are not banned from the game, what is happening is that people are having their account restricted, which means that they can't access the website nor the app for the current year of the game, i.e. MLB the Show 26. They should still be able to log into the game via their console and access the market that way.

@PsylockeSmythe_XBL would be nice if the company actually explained why
-
@PsylockeSmythe_XBL Okay that is exactly what happened to me yesterday. Same verbiage about being restricted. Whatever it was has been lifted in my case so I specifically wasn't singled out for any behavior. I doubt many people were. Also it seems the bot issue is ebbing.
-
@theBlindRhino_PSN still the company should explain why it's happening... same with me...i was restricted now I'm ok
-
@Stinkysman77_MLBTS I don't disagree, I just don't see them doing that, since they haven't done it in the past.

It just now happened to me. I was flipping and it now says I am restricted.
