I've kinda given up online play in sports games. The individual connection online plays such a big roll in the outcomes, even when it's not that noticeable, that it's not worth the frustration. One day I may bite the bullet and get a separate online set up just for gaming and direct line it to my PS5. Additionally, while I love the Show, historically this game does not reward patience and timing at the plate and all to often batting feels random. I simply enjoy grinding the programs offline now and Mini Seasons.
-
Step away from the game, relax. Everything will be ok.

@Jisaksen2422_MLBTS yeah I’ve just been listing to jomboy podcast so far today getting excited for mlb season to start tonight may get on later to check new threads content but will steer away from online for a bit if I do play will be mini seasons

Cause youre in your early 20s. When I was early 20s I got mad easily about everything too
The game doesn't matter and you won't remember none of these dumb games a few weeks from now.
I used to protect my ranked record. Last year I was like 36-6 or something and made world series.
This year I've started out 2-2. One game I lost like 12-11 in extras and a routine double play that would've ended the inning (went right under ss glove) ended up becoming a Kyle schwarber grand slam. Schwarber had to have fouled off like 8 pitches and then I threw a sweeper with good input that went pretty much right down the middle. I likely should've won the game without thst chain of events but nobody cares abiut my record and I won't care.
Its understandable the game makes you mad but when you step back you realize it's kind've broken and you will quickly forget the results of these insignificant games once you leave to do other things

@Onix_Savage22_PSN, without addressing the rest of the post, why are you so quick to think you won't play real baseball again? If you want to, there's usually a way... might not be super competitive, but I started again in my 30's playing in men's rec leagues. Had a blast playing hardball until I was about 35...
-
@The_Joneser_PSN fair I maybe able to play again it definitely won’t be at the level I was it will probably be a men’s leauge or smt at and with my job it is very hard I work construction and my shift are usally 7-7 give or take sometimes a little shorter sometimes a little longer maybe if I find a job with more outside of work freedom I could I rly didn’t think I was ready to give it up but being out of school for a cpl years I was kinda talking into seeking a better job as I was only working a fast food job through end of high school and first few years after and I had to sadly sacrifice baseball as it wasn’t working with my work load and how physically demanding it is I would play again in a heart beat if the opportunity presents itself
-
Especially with the provincial level I was playing it I tried balancing both when I started the new job and found myself missing practices games etc and just decided it wasnt possible atleast for now
-
@Onix_Savage22_PSN, yeah, that's tough... we do what we need to do, but you might find that you get to come back to it years down the road. Might not be at the same level, but there's something to be said about picking it back up, long after you convinced yourself you had to say goodbye to it.
I was slower, weaker, and had more trouble against softer stuff, but I loved being out there just as much as I ever had.
I hope you find your way back.
And try to keep your head on your shoulders when you play these video games
