Because there isn't an issue, flipping cards is not part of the game, its something people to lazy to earn cards came up with to get around actually playing the game.

If it’s working as intended, it’s not an issue.

And flipping is still in game anyway, its just that early in the year when thousands of people are doing it the market settles to tiny profit margins quickly. The only thing with decent margins are cards that you need massive volume of to get anywhere.
I would like to see the cap raised to 50 personally, that seems fair for casual investors.

Play the game to get the cards? That’s hilarious when you realize the drop rates on the most desirable cards. Not to mention the chase cards are always some of the best in the early cycles. The rewards for playing are decent, but even then you have to obsessively grind just to make enough to buy a fifty pack, or buy the card outright. Investing in cards was/is a way for people to stay connected with the game and the real game. No need to call people lazy for investing. It’s a different way to make stubs than maybe you want. Some people have the time to play 7-8 hours a day. Others don’t. Investing isn’t dead, it has just changed. I will still make plenty of stubs, still play the game the way I want to do so. No biggie. The December 7th way in which they made this switch is more frustrating than anything. 7 hours of PXP wanking and not a single mention of this. Seems shady to me, but that’s just my opinion.

@Good-Talk-Bud_XBL
I agree they need to make a statement regarding this or talk about it in next live stream. Doing it for “market health” needs to be explained. They love to talk about we want this to be the most realistic game possible but if I want to collect 100 cards of a single player in real life I can do that. The fact remains they slid this in here with no explanation and that is wrong and something needs to be said -
Yall absolutely destroyed the marketplace
If your intentions is to nerf investing in cards and roster updates you could go about it a better way
Instead of having a 20 card cap on all cards there should be a slope implemented
1000 commons
500 bronze
300 silvers
100-200 golds
10-50 DiamondsThere should be a better way of addressing this issue that never existed fr
Some people enjoy that aspect of the game because no other sports game offers a realistic market. It keeps me intrigued and makes me excited for monthly updates, and investing into players keeps me in the game longer
I hope yall will address this and make a change to at least increase the limit based on rarity of the card if removing the cap doesn’t seem fitting

@LIONED-33_XBL if you wanna talk about lazy, how about the people who spend thousands of dollars to play the game with the best cards? If that is what you call “playing the game”, I’m jealous of your bank account. I have grinded many more hours this year than I would like to admit, and I had made nowhere near what I should have. My diamond pulls are mainly only from WBC deluxe packs. How else would I be able to amass over 600k just for one Shohei Ohtani card? It’s not lazy. I have to resort to flipping now, which is still in the game and different from investing, to get close to the money I would make from players doing well in real life. The 20 player cap has to go if no money spent players who can’t pull these diamonds naturally ever want to get Tulo.

@natenizzle_MLBTS well said. I think the 20 card limit is terrible and I think it will make a lot of people quit playing the game. As you said, MLB the show is unique in the sense that you can invest your cards and make stubs every roster update. This has been in the game for years now and now there’s all of a sudden a change with no explanation? People are very upset with the changes and hopefully something will be done to change it back. Please make this right SDS.

@itsmeurbs_XBL i'm no money spent and get LS completed by May every year. Stop making excuses. Stop being Lazy. Or buy stubs. sorry, not sorry.
-
@The 20 player cap has to go if no money spent players who can’t pull these diamonds naturally ever want to get Tulo.
If you need to post nonsense like this you lost your argument already. Tons of NMS will get Tulo without needing more than 20 copies of a player. Its happened in years past, it will happen again this year.
-
The 20 card limit has killed my hype for the game, I feel like it should be at least 50. It’s a gamble whether you lose stubs or not on a player. Making stubs is WAY easier than other modes like diamond dynasty (MyTeam, Ultimate Team, etc.) and it’s definitely made it more tedious to make stubs. SDS revert this, this is undeniably greedy for usually the best card building game mode in the sports market.

New year same boot lickers

The lack of public communication on the topic is a sure sign of who SDS is choosing to be as a company. "When someone tells you who they are, believe them."

Honestly if they give us a 100 card limit I think everyone on all sides would be happy. I hope they change it
