AS vs HOF

All star difficulty is the opposite of competitive. The PCI is so big to the point where you can get good results just by putting it anywhere near the pitch. There’s almost no advantage to putting the PCI perfectly on the ball since there’s a good chance it ends up as good/okay.
Not to mention pitching is way more random on all star as well. Not only that, but strikeouts are near impossible with how big the PCIs are. Joey Gallo should never be fouling off 8 pitches in an at bat, especially when multiple swings are very late/very early.

It’s amazing how little respect is shown to people who aren’t the greatest at this game but enjoy it. I’m sorry but how can a casual player ever upgrade his team if everything is on H of Fame and legend?
A ranked playlist should be harder. You don't see casual athletes get rewarded for not practicing in real life correct?
You also don't have "casual" athletes being forced to play in professional leagues in real life. They play in lesser amateur leagues that better match their skills. Unfortunately this year sds decided the lesser skilled should get stomped out instead.
The lesser skilled divisions being 599 and below on AS would be meant for those lesser skilled players then. Those being on AS would provide a fun experience. 600 and above are filled with a lot of very good players that sometimes get stuck on all star.
Do you understand if you are lesser skilled but want to play online u don’t want to play on AS? I am not good enough for AS I am not going to lie I get lucky offline there once in a while. Rather play an opponent on Veteran if he is veteran too.
Do you not understand that RANKED is a competitive game mode. You will struggle if you don't play enough. Just like anything in life, how do you expect to be good at something you don't practice at? And if you do practice and still can't win, then well sometimes you just have to eat losses until you find a way.
I agree weaker players shouldn’t be allowed to be high up in ranked. I want there to be a mode where I can play casually and still be considered online. If I am missing it let me know because all of the online missions I know of have to be in ranked, battle royale, and events? I cannot succeed in any of those 3.
On the topic of losing., what fun is it if I play those 3 modes and got killed every game? I am not a good player so I wish there was an online mode where I could accomplish missions and not get smoked.

I believe there is online casual but I believe also that you can't get missions done while playing this modes

Correct if it’s not ranked, battle royale or events I am pretty sure it doesn’t count so... I won’t be able to acquire some Players unless I get smoked.

Casuals can compete on hof too, they get spring training, reg season and all star to get the hang of things then the real game activates at WC on HOF. All star purgatory is a horrid experience

There is no way I can. I will flat out admit it. I am outmatched every time I play ranked.

The problem right now is that pitch speeds on all star are way too high. Theres no way below average/casual players are going to be successful. Might as well be on Legend.
I'm not denying that "allstar hell" is a thing to you guys that should be playing on HoF, but the games I've been in aren't what you guys describe. It's usually 2 players striking out 15 times each and somebody hits a lucky home run or something. You cant flail at every pitch with absolutely no timing and still be successful. It is still too easy to foul everything off, I'll give you that.
Like I said earlier, I'd be fine with HoF starting at 600, I wish there was a way that you guys could block games on all star if you wish. I also wish they would drop pitch speeds on all star back to what they were at launch or in 19 so those of us without monitors or with failing reflexes still had a chance. I dont feel like I'm being unreasonable.
Sorry for the rant.

Not to mention pitching is way more random on all star as well. Not only that, but strikeouts are near impossible with how big the PCIs are. Joey Gallo should never be fouling off 8 pitches in an at bat, especially when multiple swings are very late/very early.
I agree to some extent, but it really depends on the opponent. I struck a guy out 14 times yesterday including Gallo a couple times, so it is doable.
IMO the PCI size is not the problem. If the cpu umps called more pitches on the perimeter of the zone for strikes, that would help immensely.
The other part of the problem is the check swings. It is too easy for a player to check swing check swing foul off foul off until the pitcher misses his spot.
I think changing these two things would make a big difference without even having to change anything about the pitching.

Maybe they could start HOF at 600, but even that is pushing it from what I've seen of a lot of 600s guys. But HOF is too easy to make that the highest difficulty, certainly 900+ should be on legend and possibly even 800+ too but I think it's fine as it is

You're definitely right that it depends on the opponent.
You're also right about your other two points as well. I would honestly be open to those ideas, just something has to change. Right now it feels eerily similar to The Show 19

I was that guy and finally bought a monitor a few days ago, I was tired of trying to have fun with a game and hating the game.
I've already raised my BA 20 points and now I'm striking out 5 or 6 times a game. It made a huge difference.
Jus my two cents.
