I’m simply hoping for more early legends. Red Schoendienst and Phil Rizzuto were great surprises, along with Roy Campanella and my boyhood hero Albert Pujols, but so many more deserving legends are out there. Rights? Did we ever get a Duke Synder better than his spring 85 diamond? What happened to our early legend pitchers?

@w1ck3dx24_PSN I don't even play online, and I thought the way online rewards was handled was stupid.

Id like a smooth slow power creep honestly. I am not a fan of a ton of 99s by July. By the time finest come out we have been playing with 99s for 3 months.

Return of multiplayer program (ie no separate br/RS programs). It was fantastic not being forced to play modes I hate for cards useless outside of collections.

More equal offline rewards. Last year DQ (which I like) was really the only mode to play until the all star break content dropped.

Weekend Classic being separated from ranked. When WC starts, ranked seasons should end. It was absurd that you could go from bronze 1 to World Series playing only bronze 1 people.

Way less collections. They may be great for the 1% here that are die hards, but are terrible for the vast majority of players.

This was near universally panned. I understand why they did it (the three separate tracks definitely caused burnout), but how they did it was terrible

I don't think they roll it out again, but then sets and seasons was hated in 23 and they doubled down with a far worse version in 24. You hated losing half you available cards? Now you get to lose all of them! And all you have to use now are OOP, enjoy!

Make Events and BR good again. Cut back on chase packs. There was almost as many chase packs as headliners. I am waiting on DD changes before purchasing.

    When is the DD reveal?

@Teak2112_MLBTS I doubt their median player panned it. The burnout was real and the 3 separate tracks approach was awful for anyone but the absolute no lifers. Going back to separate programs may get kudos from the few thousand hyper online players, but will likely cause everyone else to simply disengage.

I know this won't happen but I'd love to see the pxp changed. Why end it at 5. Have it go on forever. And by doing that, put up a leaderboard to see who has the most pxp with any card. If you did a leaderboard, have it track different modes, DQ, Conquest, Mini seasons, Ranked, etc.

I don't dislike this idea, but I fear it might lead to them making less cards. But we do know there is something going on with the pxp this year from what they have teased so far.

@Teak2112_MLBTS Make it unlimited, but instead of +1 to every stat, you get 1 to anything of your choice. Make it more and more PXP with each level.

@JoeSelser_PSN They could make these parallel cards so much more fun and engaging. In the card collecting hobby there are 1/1s to 1/♾️s. Why not mix that in to the game in some way. Also, change the card art more than just the lower corner. Give us black border, blue border, cracked ice, etc. it’s a little thing in the grand scheme of things but many of us enjoy collecting as much as playing.

Team Affinity has to be better. Add a new card each inning that can be grinded to add to the theme team. TA Showdowns/Diamond Quest/ Conquest Maps as well. TA was severely underwhelming in 25.

    More sellable rewards

Less collections. Not every program / content drop needs a collection to get the best cards for that drop.

Parallelling cards needs to have more impact, giving me a reason to keep a card in my lineup.

@RKO24-7_PSN I like that TA idea, but casuals will complain it’s too much of a grind. I’d like to see team captains that evolve every inning. Make them the first TA, one hitter and pitcher. Then, make a program within TA to evolve each inning with the power creep. Most importantly, make every single pair players each fan base will be excited to use all year.

The captains for theme teams is a great idea if they attempted to balance out the number of cards issued for each team. I don’t want to be facing Yankee theme teams all year long. Even nerfing the captain boosts was done half baked.

Most of the complaints about needing to grind over the years come from online players (specifically god squadders/meta chasers), not casuals. They get upset about grinding for cards they wont use (because they arent a scrub who happens to switch hit) to fill collections. This happened a LOT in 23.

I can understand their point, but thats a design issue for SDS to figure out. 24 was a disaster in terms of content, and 25 was focused around grinding for stubs to buy all the pack cards.

One thing in SDS's favor: there is a lot less fomo in this game than the competition in terms of limited content. Programs stay around all year. The good iterations of TA stay around all year. Online has rewind packs. Its really only the inning tracks that expire, but anything that is no sell on this tracks tends to come back at the end of the year too. So they really shouldnt be afraid of some really big grinds, because people can chip away at them over time

I'm also very much for the evolving captains. These should be either legends or players not currently on the team so as to not conflict with other cards. For example, Lindor would be a bad captain for the Mets because it might conflict with an all star card. But DeGrom would work just fine

I'll take the evolving captain ID a step further, it would be amazing if you could get different 'skins' for your captain by competing challenges, like taking a theme team through a mini season. As an example, if Alonso was the Mets captain completing a challenge could unlock the ability to use last year's milestone art
