Knuckleballs

Has there ever been confirmation as to why they have seemingly banished this pitch from The Show?
If it's broken why can't they just program it to not be so overpowering? Just seems so incredibly lazy to sweep it under the rug and neglect every player who ever threw that pitch.

I’m sure there is a jenga effect with their coding and this pitch. Meaning changing one thing causes unintended problems elsewhere. I wish it could be back, but not at the expense of making a cheese situation where the scumbags exploit it.

@SakAttack87_PSN Streamers cried about it and that’s the only opinions that matter to SDS and rather than fixing problems they just get rid of them.

The issue is that in this game, the knuckleball defies physics and thus is completely broken. IRL, it has a late and somewhat random break (but in one direction), which can be hard to hit (IRL), but in the show would be easy to hit. Knuckleballs IRL are also very inconsistent (which is something SDS has trouble coding into pitching when the user has perfect input), but it is that very inconsistency that’s makes them hard to hit.

@GoozeFn_PSN Yeah all the steamers with their combined 734 current viewers on twitch right now control the development team.

@SakAttack87_PSN
They didn't want to put in the effort to upgrade their 20+-year-old physics engine, so they basically made the pitch unusable and unrealistic because it was too difficult. It's not like they only get paid for coding the game. Oh wait, they got a new studio, and we got roster updates for eight years. -
@DeleteyourTTVBTW_MLBTS It’s seemed that way for several years. Let’s not pretend like their viewership on last years game in February is meaningful either.
