@Christuffer_NSW
I would get at least 3 lefties in your bullpen, you should probably replace roki, will klien, or edwin diaz. For the starters, I would look for a starter with at least two fast balls and at least two of the following:- High velo
- Slider or sweeper
- Changeup or splitter
Some pitchers I would recommend are Garrett Crochet, Paul Skenes, Tarik Skubal, Randy Johnson, and Zach Wheeler. I would recommend at least replacing Maddux and Yesavage with one of these pitchers

@TheRupster12_XBL Does all-star Skubal sound good? (I don't really like the journey program team affinity moments since most of them are hitting on veteran unless it's for a homerun.)
-
By the way my family isn't willingly to buy stubs for me i assume so we are on budget unfortunately and also stubs are hard to make lol.
-
@christuffer_nsw
Dont use all star Skubal, there are better options. Stubs are no hard to make if you play the game. Even if you are terrible at diamond quest, just playing the game will get you a bunch of packs, stubs and sellable cards. Even if you have the money, buying stubs is a complete waste. -
@therupster12_xbl Fine imma try some other DD options.
-
@TheRupster12_XBL Welp I just got destroyed by my favorite team (Dodgers) in Diamond Quest during a stadium challenge and lost the quest. Im not that good when it comes to moving my PCI cuz I move my PCI away from the pitch delivery around half of the time unfortunately. Lost 2-1.

@Christuffer_NSW
Try to complete the multiplayer program while doing missions for other programs if you cant do dq. You could also try doing some of the earlier in the year dqs, as the teams you are facing there are much worse -
Uhm, I don't have access to Multiplayer programs as I don't have a subscription and will definitely not get one.

@Christuffer_NSW
Then this doesnt really matter. Against the CPU, just use whoever, has the best stats. (H/9 and clutch matter the most, k/9 also matters a little) Throw the a fastball up and in and then a breaking ball down and away, and the CPU cannot hit it -
You can earn tons of stubs playing the Forever mini seasons.
-
@TheRupster12_XBL As a Dodgers fan, no.

@Christuffer_NSW It is so stupidly easy to flip right now. I made 2.3 million out of 15k in a day. I used that to bolster up my collection to makeup for the past four months I played madden (I still don’t know why I jump into that chess pool every year). You can easily get those cards in a day if you have the app and can check in on it every half hour or so.
-
@Christuffer_NSW do you take batting practice in practice mode? This has helped me a ton. I would highly suggest it. Also what grip are you using on the left stick for pci placement? Check a few out and give them a few days before trying another. I use the crab grip and it keeps my pci movement subtle.
-
@LHUBison58_XBL If you mean like joy-con stick grip, no but I also confused by that because I never heard about it in the community so my bad. Sometimes, I know where a pitch is going to land, but my thumb just decides to go away from it anyways, I actually felt like its gotten worse during the daily team rebuilds I have been doing in fact. (If you mean like where the PCI placement is by default, its between the bottom middle and middle middle of the zone.) I feel like the FPS of the game is also screwing me up because pitches are faster since the less FPS, the faster the pitch is BASICALLY. I hope the transition to the PS5 for MLB The Show 26 this year will help make a huge improvement in hitting even though Xbox is usually the console where you can hit best in the gaming franchise. I do occasionally take batting practice but its with selected areas only. I do take home run derbies a lot but since pitch speeds are way lower, they barely made an improvement in hitting for me.

The grip I use is to control the left stick with my thumb and forefinger in a “crab” pincer manner. I use both fingers to move the pci. It helped me significantly, ymmv.
I’m using the next month as “spring training” I’m taking a half hour of BP in practice mode with my difficulty at Hall of Fame. I usually pick a high velocity pitcher and start with all fastballs in the zone.First thing I do is not swing at all but track the ball with my PCI for ten pitches. Then I get my timing going and swing. After five minutes of this I will introduce an off speed pitch with the fastball and hit that for ten minutes. Then I get a right on right or left on left matchup and pound sinkers/cutters on the inside mixed with inside balls. Do that for ten minutes and jump into playing. I’d recommend setting the difficulty one step higher than what you play on. None of this is original, I’ve gotten this over the years from many content creators. It works for me, but you may find something better for you. Either way practicing with intention is always a good thing. I’d also recommend getting the soft foam rings for your sticks. They help with preventing slamming. I bought brand name ones last year, but Amazon has the same product for under $5 for six rings. I’m using them now and they are doing great.
