Take homerun derby away

Everyone is clearly abusing it and I’m facing guys with 3 level 1 tier 99’s already. I shouldn’t have to sit and tap square for hours to compete
-
Booo hooo
-
It’s not all HR derby. I’m just about at gold 60 which will give me my 3rd high 90.. it’s the pre-order early access people that played the *^%# out of the game before it was released on 16th
I haven’t played HR derby once
Universal profiles show how much someone has played HRD

Just because you can grind home run derby for 20 hours a day doesnt mean you're a good player. You can compete without doing the same.
-
If someone wants to mindlessly grind a mode where you only press one button for days, let them.
I’d rather just earn XP while I do other things in the game, and the XP reward path will give me things to look forward to for a long time.

LOL I agree that sounds like hell and reminds me of MLB 18. I don't want PTSD.

Dang!
So your telling me I can let my sons play 8 hours of HRD while I’m at work and I’ll gain XP faster -
Do you gain the XP playing HRD online, offline or both?
-
It’s actually less rewarding than some other modes. It’s just mindless and you Can grind it out while doing other things.
-
mommy..... I don’t want to play hr derby so you need to take it away from billy!!!!
-
Lmaooo... Work hard and be rewarded. You do realize people are bored on quarantine. Of course they're grinding. Stop whining.

I don’t think the xp path is as impactful this year. Last years xp players were nearly all end game. This year most have flaws that will make them replaceable pretty quickly. Jackson mashes but vision and d make him a liability. Sanberg is really good but doesn’t really scare anyone. Posey is great but I’m not worried about facing him. Same with Larkin. Most people seem to take kluber first so hr derby didn’t really help with that.
Last year it wasn’t surprising to see Thomas in lineups late in the game cycle. Gwynn was great. Right now if last years joe Morgan was available this year he probably would have been my first pick. My point is I don’t think facing someone with all the xp rewards is all that difficult. -
OP is def on the "everyone is a winner" train and proudly displays his participation trophies in the living room.

I mean to each his own. I think grinding Conquest is a better route. Gets you
TA, usually there’s challenges to complete as well, XP, and then a 10 pack bundle when you’re done. I use HR derby when I’m ready to turn off but close to the next level and don’t feel like doing another game. -
Lol these responses are hilarious
-
I’ve started playing it because there is no use playing a full game when Diamond fielders play like the original Bad News Bears. I thought I had Gold Glovers but apparently I have Ahmed in LF, Tanner at SS and Mookie Betts aka Lupus picking his nose in RF as the ball sails over his head!
