Is anyone else having bad lag tonight? It’s literally impossible to play a game with this horrible lag #FixThis

The later in the year the worse the lag. It’s a 50/50 shot now if not worse. They don’t invest into the servers and you are trying to connect to people further away due to player base significantly decreasing. Essentially isn’t anything to play for anymore. No rewards or no cards that people don’t already have so player base is diminishing very quickly. Goodluck.

Depends where you live. I live in the Southwest (Phoenix) and it seems there is always someone close by looking for a game.

Towards the west coast and east coast you’re good. Midwest and South in my opinion experience the most issues.

I heard several people that are a lot better than me say that it's kind of pointless to do unless you have 144 Hertz monitor like using the TV it won't even work that well at all again depending on where you are I'm sure like the rest of the people I've said but that helps you know I think I'm monitor would help one with the higher refresh rate

@SnotRailz_PSN why is that fast of a monitor needed though on a game that demands nothing. The rendering is ridiculous. The field is basically a copy and paste nothing typically moves. The grass is just a still image. I use an 65” C9 oled about 5 or 6 years old. TVs are far superior now if you get a good one unless you are needing a 27” screen for competitive shooters or something. Atleast that’s what I keep reading and hearing.
I will say the game is choppy between screen transitions though on my tv

I agree with you I'm not trying to argue with you - if you're not playing online with somebody then it's not necessary but you need an ink here let me this articles on this page to the talk about it but here's what a buddy just wrote to me

    • it's a lot

***A 144Hz refresh rate monitor is highly recommended for MLB The Show 25, including the Road to the Show mode. While the game currently maxes out at 120Hz, using a 144Hz monitor ensures you can utilize the game's full performance potential, which significantly improves timing and responsiveness.

    • Performance Benefits for Road to the Show
    • Improved Pitch Recognition: Higher refresh rates (up to 120Hz) reduce motion blur and "ghost ball" trails, making it easier to read fast-moving pitches.
    • Better Timing: Lower input lag associated with higher refresh rate monitors allows your controller inputs to register more quickly, which is critical for hitting and fielding tuhiming.
    • Smoother Gameplay**
It also depends (I'm assuming ) what your playing on a nice computer with a decent graphics card or a PlayStation 4

Oh and I totally forgot that this is cross-platform so if someone on a PlayStation 4 or 5 is playing someone on a personal computer I won't even do that there's no way I would win just because of the specs

@SnotRailz_PSN I appreciate you typing all that up for me. I’ve considered monitors however any tv now or the mid grade ones are 120 plus. So if the game is maxed out at 120 I’m not sure of any benefit. Maybe latency is better or input lag but these TVs are stupid low apparently. Let me know ur thoughts

@SnotRailz_PSN I only play ranked so I am online I will say that. But on a tv I’ve never hit 1000 rating. Close but not quite. I usually settle around 900. I am slow to catch up to fastballs though
