No what those sponsorships do is guve you "boost" income in franchise mode for certain things. I have a few that I got through packs and do sometimes play franchise. They work by giving X amount of money for your team by hitting homeruns, or strikeouts, or even for every game win. So say ypu wanted to just go ham in franchise to have fun on begginer so it's nothing but fastball down the middle, ypu would get 10k per HR with the diamond sponsorship. Sorry if this was a wordy response just thought I'd break it down.
