Duplicate Cards are getting Ridiculous
-
It shouldn't be like the lottery - it should be like betting the run line at the sports book (a slightly less than half chance to come out ahead).
But, if people keep playing the lottery, I guess SDS has a good reason for making the odds so poor
-
There is a difference between sports betting and buying a scratch off.
-
There was a stretch earlier this year where in the span of five diamond pulls I got Logan Gilbert five consecutive times.
-
Well..... look at it this way... If you went to the casino and pulled four of the same card, then most would say you had amazing luck! It's all perspective lol
-
When I first saw this thread, I thought OP was referring to the number of duplicate Cornerstone cards we have. Or the extra allstar voucher. Or the extra Sponsorship.
Man, I wish there was an exchange (or something) to get rid of them!!
-
Right, you wish there would be some sort of implementation as to fill squads with cards they don't have yet.
I know it's somehow in place already as I haven't pulled a live diamond beyond 5k qs since I finished live series over a month ago. before that I'd get cards I needed regularly enough.

To the people comparing pack odds to a casino….wtf? This is not a casino. It’s a game that we all paid for. And pack odds make it so not everyone gets the same experience. Some people are lucky and have pulled multiple Judge or Ohtani cards, and can then sell them off and get enough stubs to buy other cards they don’t have. Others still haven’t been able to pull either one of them. It’s just garbage. Not the sane experience all because of stupid rng.

Ugh tell me about it. I’ve received 7 Amed Rosario’s, 5 Andrew Chafins, and now 5 Mike Soroka’s.
The “Summer” program packs were even worse. Paul DeJong x 8, Geraldo Perdomo x 6, and two others at 5 a piece. Only different ones I got were from the program itself.

@chrisham8380_PSN I thought it was obvious it was a little light hearted humor.

I’ve started to get the same new threads players now and selling for 5k over and over

@nymets1987_PSN I've gotten andrew chaffin atleast 7 times, I avoid the new threads 2.0 packs.

So, OP just want everyone to have the "same experience" with packs? Doesn't that totally defeat the point of a trading card game? (the luck factor of getting good pulls).
I just want the odds to be more reasonable.
-
@chrisham8380_PSN I actually feel.like the entire game this year has been a big F U to the player base...things such as cpu throwing balls 65% of the time will likely make MLB 26 a no buy for a lot of long time players.
And the way they don't address issues...for example the manage squad screen freezing. They do not care. If people keep buying/playing their game, they will never care.
It seems every year one of their big updates is how to attempt to steal a homerun. It's like, maybe work on something important like how the cpu fields like 99s at every position no matter who is in the field or what level you are playing on.
And don't even get me started on how horrible all stats screens are. With no custom filters or anything.
The gameplay has been stale for a long time but between 24 and 25, they made the choice to make offline play less fun. Solid business model.

This game is not a trading card game
