Is there any way I can find easier opponents in the online multiplayer mode? It’s frustrating to see my hitters keep striking out or some of my Pitchers giving up bombs

No, you need to either get better Hitters and pitchers or don't play online

Ranked is the only mode with decent matchmaking.

If your timing sucks and you are bad at picking up pitches like me though you will strikeout against even bad pitchers. But I will also crush inside sinkers lefty lefty and the bad pitchers dont pick up on that, or that I am behind on every high fastball so throwing them away only helps me get opposite field hits, and cutters help me too.

Also older version of the show have a less skilled playerbase in general. I am .500 in event in 2023 this year and I stink.

The problem with ranked these days is you see all the best pitchers. I stick to battle royale since you get some lower rated pitchers and events with pitchers at 64 or below

I believe when the ranked matchmaking screen appears you immediately push the left joystick to the left. That'll stop the ranking range from increasing / decreasing.
