Inked Miniseason appreciation

Just wanted to give my appreciation for this miniseason, as its a big W
I was initially quite put off that the repeatable is for a deluxe non choice, and I still feel that its a bit ridiculous that its a non choice this late in the season. However there are so many good points to this particular miniseason:
-The one time rewards are good
-The repeatable awards are done with standard gameplay: no having to play home run derby. You will get these by playing the game naturally and dont have to compromise your playstyle to chase them
-The opponents are theme teams. Mini seasons are usually divisional, but having full theme teams (minus Mason Miller chilling on the As still) gives it a bit more of a unique feel. I hope they do this going forward, and mix in some of the lesser teams as well.
-Bonus points for Yankees being the Whales and Tokyo being the Giants. At least the former was certainly intentional
-While the specialty miniseasons are fun for one time through, this is one is meant to be repeatable content so having no restrictions is niceI really hope that 2026 leans into theme teams more for offline play. Its fun and would hopefully encourage SDS to keep them better updated. Even if its just adding, say, a 92 Gabriel Moreno as an offline reward that only DBacks theme teams owners would use
Having some kind of mode that rewards players for beating it with a theme team from each team would be a good way to give offline grinders something to do so we don't complain as much (no one ever stops complaining though, as every developer knows)

Yah and the Cats are just a beast of a team. Like you said though, love facing the other teams

Really good post. 100% agree.
I’m now on my second run through it, and loving playing against the theme teams. Makes it much so much more interesting…
My only thing, even though it was kind of fun, at first, would be that I’d rather see MS transition from GBL to all new teams, where they can have a single stadium for a new team that remains static, like now, but from MLB team regions, where the North East could be, say, a Red Sox theme one MS, a Mets the next, then Phillies…
This was a good one, though. Kudos for the content and the original post.

This is 100% true. I can not hit at all with that DJ card. Had a HR in one of my first AB's and then nothing much else. Took me until the game before the playoffs to earn Baylor. Thankfully Baylor is a beast and hit a few HR's so I could get the SS pack.

I just finished my season
DJ hit just fine for me, but mostly singles. He did get one out of Lichtenstein but even i could hit one out of there.
I am 14 runs and 1 Baylor HR shy of the two SS packs, but I was going to play this one twice anywayThanks to Lima (Dodgers) for knocking Cats (signature) out of the final series.
