Realization the game is just BROKE... period!

@Ditka06_MLBTS
Google reviews only exist for places. Here are some reviews I found from respected outlets about the game:
https://www.metacritic.com/game/mlb-the-show-25/
https://www.forbes.com/sites/games/2025/03/19/mlb-the-show-25-review-the-pinnacle-of-the-series/
https://www.ign.com/articles/mlb-the-show-25-review
https://gamerant.com/mlb-the-show-25-review/
I didnt read any of these, they were the first results to come up, so not picking and choosing here -
@Ditka06_MLBTS, yeah... I should look at the "thousands of Google reviews complaining about the same stuff."
Of course, there are only 544 Google audience reviews (only 415 with any actual commentary that say anything at all), and a quick scroll through several revealed exactly zero mentions of the specific things I've pointed out as not being real issues.
Maybe if you weren't lying you could point some out.
Yes, when I read obvious [censored] I point it out. I'm sorry if that makes you feel "discredited," but perhaps you should feel that way when you're just making [censored] up and someone calls you on it.
-
@Talkingben9558_XBL you guys discredit content creators who play the game for a living yet bring up IGN reviews as a trustworthy source?
-
@The_Joneser_PSN why are you still trolling ? And maybe chill out on all that chat GPT for your responses sesquipedalian! And yes I know very well with your responses you know exactly what that word means.
Our complaints are valid from our side. We are looking for others with meaningful responses. At this point YOU are beating your head on that very wall you spoke of above.
Go be grandiloquent somewhere else big guy -
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL
Which content creator did I discredit? -
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL, tell me: why do dumb people insist on advertising it?
Though I’ll admit, unlike you, that I had to look that one up, I understand what it means when a word is an adjective, and I would have used it correctly.
Nice try, though.
-
@The_Joneser_PSN interesting… check out comma splice next guru.
At this point I’m just being rude so I’m going to stop flirting with you so this thread can be constructive once again.
-
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL, please do. Not a comma splice in there… not the most succinct or elegant sentence I’ve ever written, but it is grammatically sound.
Should I ask my question again?
-
@The_Joneser_PSN
Maybe you don’t play the game enough to clearly see what you claim doesn’t exist. It occurs quite often from the pitching side and the hitting side. It’s as clear as day. With that, you are wrong on two aspects - one for claiming an actual problem within the game doesn’t exist, and two for blatantly insulting others. Why? Maybe because you don’t like to be told you’re wrong. Whatever it is, you certainly can’t be insulting others’ logic. -
What logic?
-
@Talkingben9558_XBL
Idk he said something about logical conclusions. -
@TheBigPapa55_PSN, yeah… except I didn’t say the few, very specific things I commented on didn’t exist. I said that they did not happen to most people, that they seem more like odd behavior resulting from a connection issue, and that the connection issue may very well not be the fault of the game itself or it’s infrastructure. It all seems something unique to a smaller subset of users.
Flat out, I don’t really like that guy, and I don’t at all feel bad about trading insults with people who don’t treat others with any semblance of respect; if someone, or, in this case, a small handful of people, just constantly [censored] on everything and then get snippy with people who engage, I see no point in playing nice.
You might be a turn-the-other-cheek guy, and that’s great (though you did kind of jump in here with some edge, too), but I’m just tired of these guys saying the same [censored], lying when getting called on it, and then just coming back to say the same thing later.
That’s okay if you think that’s wrong. I’ll still sleep just fine.

@The_Joneser_PSN
Well when you put it that way it makes a lot more sense. Personally I feel similarly to you but can’t all of us stay civilized and discuss a freaking video game like the grown men we are? We can agree to disagree - I think warping pitches is a game issue while you think it’s a personal issue. There’s no problem in differing opinions, but the issue is when some of us start acting like children by insulting others and flat out being [censored] on a [censored] community forum with probably no more than 100 people. You see where I’m coming from? -
@TheBigPapa55_PSN, of course I do. And that’s certainly my preference. You seem a reasonable person and not a [censored], so I’d enjoy a respectful exchange and there’s no reason why it would devolve like this did.
I understand that there’s no nobility in my popping off to [censored] here. I know it’s stooping. I know it’s childlike. But there are just some people that need to get slapped in the face with a glove.
And, yeah, while not quite the equivalent of starting a fistfight at a kid’s birthday party, I get that it’s not the most pleasant thing to read, so my apologies for any offense to you or other decent people put off by it.
But I’ll probably do it again.
-
@The_Joneser_PSN
Now see how much better this is? -
@TheBigPapa55_PSN, cheers, man.
-
@The_Joneser_PSN
You too, brother. -
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL a lot of people in this forums can't accept when SDS is wrong and will defend them with everything they got, don't know why
-
@The_Joneser_PSN You my friend are delusional. Go read your first post again. Your attitude and smart
comments is what we reacted to. You came on a thread and started
with your selfish “ideology” instead of just biting your tongue and letting us that are having problems post about it. You seem like a selfish person and a gaslighter who uses a very exaggerated and vast vocabulary to try and get your point across and establish some sort of control or dominance. Hence me calling you grandiloquent. Cheers and be gone my man. Block me or move on to your own post instead of
ing on mine

[censored], already we’re starting again?
