Thinking on it more, the mini season repeatables are decent.
32 hits - thats every 6 games or so for my non try hard playstyle, rookie grinders will do it faster
45 Ks for starts - realistically this is every 9-10 games or so, unless I push starters for a 3rd inningSo lets say 18 games I can get 15 show packs plus 2 deluxe non choice packs. plus the 15 packs when I then finish the season
Better than draft conquest? No but its at least different. Still no idea why they didn't make them deluxe choice packs though. Too worried about people hoarding them?

The Babe Ruth card doesn't even have 1B eligibility. It's funny though that, attribute-wise, Jose Bautista probably still has the better end-game card.

Where are the premiere packs? Where are the headliner choice packs? Why are programs only THREE GODDAMN CARDS
Oh and I did notice that Babe Ruth chase pack. Classy.
This year's version of the game is just not rewarding in the way prior year's were. I would never consider supporting the game with stub purchases when you continue to be this stingy
Programs (outside of the milestone related ones) suck. Innings suck. Some good free cards I will admit, but theme teams in general are not supported. captains suck. TA is a failure. nothing to grind for but stubs stubs stubs.
Exactly why as a nms, someone who doesn’t work the market and don’t play online I have not finished the live series or any collections

The biggest issue is lack of playable content and crappy rewards in the programs they do have. When they torpedoed Team Affinity at the All Star game, that killed my interest. I flip and the margins opened up a while ago so I’ve been able to finish almost every collection. I’m 4 cards away from Bautista and could buy them but want to save up a bit more so I have a nest egg for what is next. I have some hope for the August 29th drop. And today’s seems solid in terms of the amount of content. Mini seasons with repeatable missions is always a good thing

The new one, which allow you to use any card. 32 Hits for 5 show bundle, 45 Ks with starters for a deluxe (not choice) pack.

The complete lack of any rewards after the finest voucher in TA is the biggest disappointment. Are they so lazy or tight they couldn't put stubs or packs ever 50k TA points? It's over a million points from the voucher to the end with zero to earn.

@nymets1987_PSN I'm also NMS and don't play on online, I sell all the duplicate cards I get in the packs and play diamond quest and sell those cards and still have all collections done and still have 170k stubs. I completed the live series and Bautista collection last week while having my very active 2 year old nephew running around along with with my 9 year old nephew and 12 year old niece here as well so it is most definitely possible to complete collections all be it slower than other people who spend money in the game

I mean who needs the 6 completely free 99 players or the 4 free 40k packs you get for FREE is you complete the program and mini seasons. I mean even if you don't have live series Beltran and only Kluber thats only potentially 11 completely free cards you could get for this collection be simply playing the game in a NON competitive way against the computer. Yes just completely garbage huh? Complain about something that is actually a problem in this game, not something that SDS actually does good.

We got two 99s in the program, 2 99s in the mini season, and a 98 in each. the three packs we can earn between the two tracks are likely to be 98s. granted 98s are realistically fine, but I dont know why you are overinflating your numbers here. And the packs are 40K because SDS set it that high, not that its a 40k value.
A few years back we would have even more free cards, 1/3 the chase packs, every collection card earnable through game play, and more packs and stubs (and the packs gave more stubs as well, remember that?)
The trend towards less free and more stubs/packs is absolutely the biggest issue with the game because the trend is clear and we arent that far away from being able to say the show is no longer pay to win. We arent there yet, but we probably will be by 2027.
The game is unquestionably less rewarding to play. Thats not even remotely a debate any rational person would make. Is it more player friendly than Madden or 2K? I mean, yes but why is that the measuring stick instead of prior years of The Show?

That’s crazy I thought they were giving out way too much this year , but I stopped playing since 20 I believe . Back then just had to get abuncha stats for immortals I believe lol I remember we would have games just grinding on ranked going up to like 100 runs hahahahhaah crazy year , trading wins for stats. If anything I would say the amount of collections is overwhelming , idk if it’s been like that for the past years , but dam , they still money hungry this deep in the season. -

Diamonds quick sold for more, gold uniforms gave 500, etc
In general 2023 had the most content, the most free cards, one big collection per season (inning) that was completable if you did all the programs/events/ranked/BR tracks, but as it had a lot of content that was a LOT to do, so you could use stubs to supplement which you got far more naturally.
I played on average probably over 2 hours a day and I always felt like I had something to do (granted I repeated a few mini seasons as the repeatable rewards were good). this year I play an hour a day on average at best and easily exhaust the offline content, and am far less motivated to play ranked.
The number of high end free offline cards is roughly similar I would say between the two, but theme teams and captain gimmick teams were much better supported by more depth to the programs and you werent having this nonsense of legends not getting cards for four months.

Again, I am comparing to the version of the game just 2 years ago, not Madden. Why is it acceptable for the game to go backwards like this? No person should be saying 'well its ok that they have gone backwards because they still arent Madden'.
Why is it ok to complain about Event rewards being gone but not that we no longer get 10+ cards in programs? Oh, one is a mode YOU personally like, so its ok to complain about that! I could say those Event cards have been moved to weekend classic so now you are the one who sounds like your 5 year old.
And I think its funny that people compare to other sports games with monetization 'oh its getting worse but not as bad as the other guys!' when you could say the exact same thing about game play! Yes, I agree the game play seems to have regressed...but people act like there isn't RNG in Madden. Perfect "inputs" lead to dropped passes all the time while your opponent is catching [censored] in triple coverage. At least 2K is saying they will remove RNG from shooting in online play, but I'll believe that when I see it.

And again you are crying about absolutely free content and 1 chase pack card. Because YOU think SDS owes you something more. No they don't HAVE to give free content. You are acting like an entitled little child. Next event cards haven't been moved anywhere you tool. They took them out completely oh and in 23 they wre non sell for the first 3 months. They didn't get moved to WC, as well as I showed once again facts of things that have been done poorly and YOU tried to change the view. This game literally GIVES you content for FREE and childish little people like you cry about it. Why? Most likely because you aren't skilled enough to compete at anything above veteran so complain that SDS is being stingy. I've played this game since 18 and they have killed content this year. Yes a little collection heavy but they have given EVERY opportunity to get multiple free packs in that collection.
