Has the live series ever been this expensive this late? We're coming into mid August and Ohtani is still 350k plus. I'm an offline grinder and never had to wait this long to unlock the live series collection.

I finally completed LS Tuesday afternoon when there was a flash sale and I bought Ohtani for 275k

Its because of diamond quest. Because there is a super easy way to farm stubs, the supply is higher than its ever been, and the only way to take stubs out of circulation is the 10% stub tax. I like diamond quest, but sds needs to find a way to balance the economy more. I know a lot of people wont like it, but they should raise the market tax a couple percent

Cutting down the amount of free agent cards in packs and increasing the amount of team cards would be nice. I have 20+ dupes on a ton of free agent cards. Why?

This isnt a pack odds problem, its an inflation problem. The odds to pull a diamond are the same as years past, but this year it is more expensive. Its the same as a real life economy. When there is too much money in circulation, it causes inflation. -
@Talkingben9558_XBL No, they have absolutely increased odds later in the season in years past. Pulling more 90+ players would also lower the cost just like adding more supply in a real economy does and that idea doesn’t involve theft.

Beltran is the reason the gatekeepers were/are so high.
if it was a reward like say, Allen ,Bautista, or Parker they would have hit 300-350 max,maybe less, and would be down in the 100s now. -

They increased the odds after the World Series. Increasing the odds could help lower live series, but it doesnt address the root of the problem -
@Talkingben9558_XBL Maybe last year. I can remember them increasing the odds in years past as early as Jackie Robinson day. Increasing pack odds does solve the problem, if you consider it a problem. Raising the tax is just dumb.

I don't think its DQ because the people abusing it are probably an extreme minority. I think its more that people aren't farming packs with miniseasons like they did last year, so there is less supply. And of course Clemens and Beltran still have high value.

My pack luck over the last two years has gotten worse and worse and this year feels like I am pulling diamonds at an all time. Low I am offline and nms and I was about to finish in July in previous years and I think November last year

@GoozeFn_PSN I’m pretty sure a couple years back Edwin Diaz was about this expense this late due to his WBC injury.
