@Ditka06_MLBTS that’s what’s odd. I’ve played top rated players and won. Also have been demolished by them plenty moreso but I always feel like connection up against them is fairly smooth. When I watch content creators online though the ball doesn’t seem to come in so quick. For me I’ll have a round where I can see and then the next round a sinker might come in and I’m able to see it on HOF then suddenly it’s warped in and comes in at GOAT speed. It’s just inconsistent so it makes it very tough to gauge. It’s only when the server or round isn’t playing smooth though

I just played a round that was so laggy it was impossible to just pitch anything even remotely down the plate. Every pitch was warping in multiple different directions. My opponent said everything was fine for him and wouldn’t accept my friendly so I just quit. Is this his connection or is the shows servers just absolutely gone at this point ? What’s the point of having a rank when multiple matches you have to quit due to connection issues ? When will this get fixed if ever and why isn’t it discussed more
It was probably your upload speed, it happened to me not too long ago. I went to check after the game and my upload speed was 6 mbps

@iBonafideScrub__PSN my upload speeds are typically between 600-1k I believe so i doubt that was the issue. I think it was the server in accordance to the player I was playing who might of also had very bad connection. That would be my guess anyway. It was absolutely unplayable. To the point where I just kept walking everyone or throwing well above catchers head until I just quit

Perfect releases were glitching too, right? I’ve had that happened to me, not too many times but I’ve seen it.

@iBonafideScrub__PSN honestly it was so laggy I couldn’t get much close to perfect. It would just freeze for a second or two in the middle of it. But I’ve def had it in the past where one out of 10 perfects or so warped far away from the batter. Just randomly shot off very fast in whatever odd direction far off the plate

I’ve also hit plenty of goods foul and even had some perfects that randomly just died in the air. Not weak exit velo but literally shot straight down to the ground as if the ball hit an invisible wall. This is rare though.
The best one was a pitch past the catcher on a strike out. My player Ran from homeplate straight to third bypassing first and second lol and I was awarded a triple -
I haven't had the lag issues much in ranked. I'm on wifi but pulling a very strong fiber signal near my box. (i can't seem to connect hard wired and am not smart enough to mess with ports, etc).
However during weekend classis the lag is insane in comparison.

Yes. Seeing those true pitch speeds. Unbelievable difference. Pitch recognition was 1000 times better also. In the last 4 years, I have probably seen these pitch speeds maybe 20 times. For a while it seemed like one day out of the month I would see these actual pitch speeds. That day I would play around 10 ranked games and get to WS. That is how I got to WS multiple times. That one day with good connections I wouldn't lose. Same thing happened that Thursday and Saturday after I adjusted that bandwidth. Games were not even competitive. I have no idea how the connections changed that much from Thursday and Saturday to after that. Like I said, 2 completely different games. One fun (not from the wins it was just fun actually seeing the correct pitch speeds which also made pitch recognition much better) and one miserable. I would be curious to see someone like pitching rebel's upload/download speed since he is on the good side of connection EVERY game especially on Florida internet.
The connection issue in this game is massive and is literally the difference between hitting .430 on hof and .300 on all star. After that Thursday/Saturday my starting lineup in the WC was hitting .437. After Sunday/Monday same lineup with a bunch of ab's was down to .350.

@DemIsE4_XBL Are you on google fiber here in KC? I haven't had any real issues with mine but I would like to hardwire to my box. When I try I get connected to XB Live but MLB the show will not connect. Any idea what i need to tinker with?

Yea, I'm on google fiber in KC. Could be a lot of things. Bad ethernet port on xbox , also something like ip address conflict. Could be bad ethernet cable.
Try plugging in an ethernet cable straight from the fiber jack to your console. If that works you can look at router settings. If it doesn't work, look at xbox settings. Probably where I would start.
Would be really curious if you have google fiber in KC how you are not seeing all the issues I am. Do you get matched with a lot of east/west coast players? I do.
I have been through a ton of stuff trying to figure out the warping pitches. Basically 120 mph blitz balls is what I call them. Make the game absolutely miserable. That doesn't even count all the other issues. I have had 80 speed runners thrown out tagging up on 3rd on balls to the warning track. Just the other day had a 97 runner almost thrown out at home on a ball 5 ft in front of the track in right because when you hit the button there is a delay. Stealers stand there with their thumb up their [censored] and don't steal until the pitcher has almost released the ball.

@DemIsE4_XBL when we have to constantly adjust our settings and look at our internet speeds and basically try and play technological scientists to get a game to play right. The issue is the game itself.

@Ditka06_MLBTS Not wrong. Definitely a game matchmake/network issue. Would actually be interesting to see say the top 50 people's upload/download speed. I've been trying to find something consistent since that special Thursday/Saturday but nothing since. I get home now and have zero interest in ranked lately. I'll try a few more tests but I think another game is calling.

@DemIsE4_XBL I dont know how some of these top player streamers are doing it? Maybe they are only releasing content of their best games and at bats etc.. but they sure do make it look easy. Im not playing the same game as them. I can't figure it out.
