Should we quit? Things are out of hand

Please quit. It would mean a lot to the community

@Tylerslikewhoa_XBL Tyler if you and talkingBen wanna send me a photo I’ll have AI or ChatGPT create a collage of all three of us holding hands! Let me know ASAP I’m eager and excited.

@Teak2112_MLBTS to be fair to us (and/or blame SDS), I think when players, me included, clamoured for the return of Innings, we we’re thinking the 19-21 format where you’d have to get 300 stars to get the bosses, with a henchman around 150-200.
You could get the full 300 offline if you were late to the game, but online play got you further and counted towards the current Inning. I could take 2-3 weeks off around summer vacations and catch up.
Now Innings expire and you have to wait the Forever Program in November if you missed out. When they introduced the timed innings/XP paths I got burned out.
Of course the format got stale, but the FOMO structure we have now is worse and they didn’t have to throw the baby with the bathwater. Not the content, but they took out the grind.
But nothing will ever be worse than OOP. JFC I can’t believe I lived through it.

@Talkingben9558_XBL there are two sides to this equation. My side which is the majority and your side who are the minority and are the enemy to progress and making the game better. If everyone said the game was great it would never get better. You are probably the same type of guy who says the irs is doing a great job. You probably work for the irs.

I think they intended TA to be the grind, but it just hasn't worked out. Color Storm was great and will likely be the content peak of 2025, but it also exhausted most of the rewards on the main tracks so now all thats left is a voucher for a card that comes out in a few months and...a profile icon. They needed to do a better job of adding relevant rewards and dropping missions, but All Star had nothing at all new.
If they are set on doing expiring xp paths I think the length of the seasons in 2023 was ideal. When they subdivided the seasons into thirds last year it didn't work. And they doubled down this year. FOMO leads to burnout.

@Ditka06_MLBTS
Do you really think the majority of people playing this game dont like it? There is a difference between what you are doing and constructive criticism. You constantly complaining about the connection and how much the game reflects real baseball in that sometimes there are hard hit outs and softly hit hits. If you think I'm just a plant for sds, check my posts rom when im not defending the forum from you and goat. As for the IRS, tell me how they are not doing their job? -
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL i'm never going to quit. But with the announcement of WC being cancelled because SDS can't figure out their own issues shows me a lot. i'm just avoiding anything online at this point. play some college foosball, and wait for Borderlands 4. I'm definitely taking a step back, and will give 26 a shot. IF SDS doesnt make some serious gameplay changes next year...i may just take the year off.

As long as we continue to do things like this it will only get worse.
As frustrated as we are with SDS, what EA did with CFB is far worse. It is showing the laziness and quality drop that is sadly common with long running sports franchises pumping out yearly upgrades...but in year 2.

@Teak2112_MLBTS again, i'm waiting for Borderlands 4, which should take me to GTA 6....i've learned to expect nothing from rinse and repeat sports games. just enjoy what i can. That being said i completely enjoy the Show compared to NCAA. But i'd be a liar if i didnt say i jump on and play some NCAA from time to time

Thats fair, Ill likely checkout the college basketball game but thats a few years away

@Pergo_MLBTS What are your upload/download internet speeds? Asking for a friend
-
@DemIsE4_XBL Download is 600/mbps and upload is 23/mbps. FWIW I am a firm believer that connection speed is less important than connection stability. On my old ISP in past versions of The Show I used to have frequent freeze offs and lagging despite having similar connection speeds to what I have now, but after switching ISPs my freeze offs and lag have completely disappeared. I know people hate to hear that the connection issues could be on their own end, but in my experience that was definitely the case.

While in-season, as in the real MLB, I'll still need my baseball fix.
I am still playing NHL '25. We're in Season 7 atm. I'm slowing down a bit there. I play other games as well, but can't see myself not playing this while the season is going on. -

Immortals have entered the chat.

@Pergo_MLBTS Zero chance the issues are on my google fiber for 4 years. Thanks to @yankblan_PSN and @iBonafideScrub__PSN , I think I have almost found a resolution. Last Thursday and Saturday played the best it's ever played. Went 6-0 in the 800 bracket. Sunday/Monday were not very good. Think I got a little more tweaking but Thursday and Saturday were a completely different game.

@DemIsE4_XBL That's great to hear. Glad things have improved for you.
