Finished off live series this morning!

@Pergo_MLBTS Same exact thing happened to me. I'm trying for Beltran so I sold him and bought Ohtani instead. Now I just need Judge, Witt Jr., Ramirez, and LS Marte and I'm done.

Still have not pulled a single 90+ live series player and haven't pulled a live series diamond in over 3 weeks from a Show Pack.

You need to save them and open them by 50's or 100's. When I did that I pulled Marte and Lindor in a span of 2 weeks. You always need to make sure you have as many packs as the odds are to pull a diamond with any packs.
-
@LQR_NSW That is not true. I open my packs at least once per day, many times after a set amount of games or program progress. So, I pretty much never have 50 regular packs or 15 Ballin' is a Habit packs to open at once, yet I have hit a lot of diamonds.
Specifically, yesterday (7/18)...1x Ballin' is a Habit pack (1:15 odds of a diamond pull)...pulled LS Shohei Ohtani...
Then on 7/13...1x regular Show Pack (1:50 odds of a diamond)...I pulled a LS Steven Kwan...
So, no, one does not need to wait to have a certain number to find a diamond in a pack. One can open the packs as they get them because the rewards of that pack was determined when they were awarded the pack and not at the time of the opening. I don't think we need to go into how pack odds work, but the odds are the same no matter how many packs are ready to be opened.
If you are superstitious and that is your thing, you can most definitely keep doing that if you feel like that is your lucky way of pack opening! But to tell people that is the only way of pulling diamonds is absolute nonsense!

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN Me to but I ended up getting him for around 390k. I've had to buy all of the expensive cards besides judge and Trout that I pulled with in a month of the game cycle and haven't pulled anything else.
-
One card away and that is Judge. Just need about 150k more to get him. Basically $100 if I really wanted to get him immediately.
-
Judge and Ohtani away, I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Just need more stubs

I was able to get to the first Boss Pack in 4.5 hours yesterday, sold Utley for 111K, bringing me to about 300K, the highest total I've had all year. Ohtani had dipped to about 320K then, but I had to go out to dinner.
When I got back he was up to 385K. Played a round of the Draft conquest, netting 15K and suddenly Ohtani was down to about 350K.
Quickly went through my inventory selling whatever I could, mainly some 5K cards that I was saving for the next big collection, and I was able to snag him at 345K.
Feels good to have that finally out of the way, even if it's going to set me back a little on the next big collection and the July Retro Spotlight.

Update: I am down to six players in the Live Series that I have to buy or earn: Jose Ramirez (Cleveland Guardians), Bobby Witt, Jr. (Kansas City Royals), Aaron Judge (New York Yankees), Ketel Marte (Arizona Diamondbacks), Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Dodgers), and Fernando Tatis, Jr. (San Diego Padres). I believe I'll get Fernando done next since his price is at or around 30,000 stubs according to my PS5 at the time of this post.

One card away…. Ohtani and about halfway there in stubs
