Team city while not foolproof is a good indicator, logic suggests that the majority of ppl would select something local for their teams location

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN or an educated guess depending on team names you see often.

@VioletNine9_XBL Majority of my opponents are east coast. Matchmaking is absolutely horrid in this game if you have good fiber internet.

Love these people that get on here and talk about stuff they have zero clue about. Message people and ask them what state they are in. It matches the team name quite a bit.

Some guy did make my day yesterday though. I was playing with a Royals theme team (except they only have 1 decent reliever), and he decided he wanted to replay HR's. He was up 5-0 after top of 1st. These are the few games I go really try hard. Think he got up like 7-2 still replaying every HR. Well ended up putting in my actual relievers and I think he scored 1 the rest of the game. Meanwhile, I am up 10-8 bottom of the 8th naturally replaying all my HR's too. Perfect perfect 2 run HR with Perez and he dashboards. I message him to keep replaying HR's and thanks for the free pack. He sends me like 5 messages in a row how trash I am, that I only hit with a button and that SDS helps horrible players like myself. Good times.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN it’s called Xbox profile and people naming their teams after obscure small colleges with like 1,500 people or they usually put their city in their name. I’ve also asked them in a message.

@DemIsE4_XBL I have noticed the further away someone is the more late and early swings they hit for HRs. Like how? I’m late or early I’m swinging through the pitch 99% of the time.

@PAinPA_PSN yes because we all know random people like to name their teams after Pasco Washington and pit Gallup NM as their Xbox profile location it’s pretty common

What is up with the match making? A majority of my games are me visiting some player in Washington, California, and Texas. I literally live in New England. Are you telling me that the players I’m instantly matching up against need to be over 2,000 miles away every time. This game has enough issues as it is and I don’t need to be facing off against some dude on the other side of the continent who’s using his neighbors WiFi or cell phone hotspot.

I think they widened the search criteria to get a faster match at the expense of game quality.

I don’t believe it’s looking for regional games anymore.

Of course this is all speculation and you should take it with a grain of salt.

If they're getting hits because they're further away from you; why aren't you getting the same hits, as you're the same distance from them?

When are you playing? If you are playing at times when a lot of people are online, youll be more likely to match with someone close to you

You cant answer that? Seems to me it should work both ways.

Or maybe you're just in a slump and need to make yourself fell better by blaming the connection of the game.

Oh, BTW, thanks for proving my point from another post/thread.

Said it's easier to call people names, that don't agree with your post, than it is to have a intelligent conversation.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN Doesn't work that way. If you match people that far away someone is having a bad experience. You simply can't match people over 1000 miles away on p2p connections. It is going to be bad for someone.

It plays like [censored]. I don't know exactly why, I'm not a network engineer. I'm going to trust myself that has played baseball at very high levels and online video games since Socom was released. Just because YOU don't see issues doesn't mean none exist. I'm sure if I played in Florida with trash wifi my game would play great. In fact, my game used to play better on my T-mobile hotspot but unfortunately, T-mobile doesn't work any more.

Why is it only bad for one person though?

Lag compensation and P2P, it always favors the weakest connection.

You can research a little bit and you will understand it better, just a quick search will clear most of your doubts.

For P2P to work both connections that are sharing data must be strong.

When you say "weak"; do you mean internet speed?
