Other than fielding, do you think there will be any tweak to hitting? I know a lot of people love it but a lot don’t too.

I’m hoping so, but you never know with SDS. It’s pretty clear there’s a huge problem with the PCI. What should be hard contact on balls hit in the middle of the PCI is usually a weakly hit out. Conversely, balls not even touching the PCI are hit out for home runs. I’d love to see hitting addressed.

Honestly just fix all the fielding animation problems we have first. Then if we are lucky they will do something with pitch location. But I dont see that. Base running tagging is off. Fix that, then maybe hitting. Hitting honestly is the least of my worries but it is a worry, if that makes sense.

Just make the runners run through the base at first, for a start. How many times is my guy gonna get thrown out because he slow jogs to the bag with no urgency on a close play?

Or catcher doesnt throw to first fast enough on a dropped third strike lol. had that happen twice, only because the catcher takes his time.

Haha I don’t make videos usually, but I’ve made a LOT this year showcasing the flaws in this game.

Yeah, I guess i dont "make videos", they make themselves.

My favourite isn’t the video of the outfielders getting hit in the face, or the bad animation selections by defenders causing them to play easy catches on the bounce etc. I liked the 5-10 minute vid I made of squaring up pitches one after the other and getting negative exit velos and weak contact. Kinda makes me believe I don’t suck that much after all and it is the game screwing me.

Yeah I have a yellow notepad were I was taking some Statistics. https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/d45379ef-9bb0-44db-b2fe-b6652ec7c7de#HAtu8li4MO.copy And I hit less than .500 in about 15 conquest games on Perfect perfects and over .500 in only 2 and .500 in 6. Doing the Jackie Robinson and my CAP innings in conquest. Seems a little low for perfect, perfect.

Haha, I haven’t gone that far, but maybe I should. One issue I have is that I rarely get perfect feedback on swings, even if they’re absolutely squared up. I mean, in this video - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gixploV0Xpw I hit two home runs with okay contact, lol, so I think it’s a waste of time tracking my perfect hits online. It would take too long to generate a significant sample size, because on HoF I can literally play all day and never get perfect/perfect in hundreds of ABs. Not so much all star, but the okay feedback on squared up swings would still make it pretty time consuming to track perfect hits only. That said, when I do get perfect/perfect it’s regularly not a hit anyway, so it’s no great loss that I can’t trigger the perfect feedback. It’s better to swing early and have your PCI not on the ball apparently.

Dang, is that announcer at your house? Sounds so clear. All my games were vs cpu on All Star. Doing the conquest for innings with jackie Robinson and at the same time doing innings with my CAP catcher and Twins players. And LS Buxton was amazing lol. I know most of Buxtons hits werent squared up, much like Gallo. But if nelson Cruz or Mitch Garver missed and had a good/Ok it went nowhere.

Yeah it makes you wonder, I can sort of see the argument on a breaking pitch, imagine a slider down and in to a lefty from a RHP, you get out in front of it you’d pull it before it gets to where it’s going to end up. So if the feedback shows where the pitch would have ended up as the pitch location and the contact is where it should be, the two don’t match up etc. So you’d get a decent swing on it regardless.

Only trouble is, I get okay feedback on a straight fastball in the PCI at times too, so I don’t think that’s it.

Meter pitching and good/okay contact. I’m so tired of seeing the ball in the middle and being “okay”. Pitchers who have very poor control cant be used in DD. Perfect release is never on target. This game may be done if NCAA football ever comes back.

Fielding and early homeruns kept my opponent in the game last night. I won 8-7 but 5 times my outfielders didn’t lock on and once my catcher didn’t.

I stopped using Garver for this very reason. After week one, nothing. Same with LS Torres.
