Please give us a break on these collections!!
-
I think that they have gone a little overboard with collections this year, they do get easier as time goes on. But at this point, unless the collection is a player you want, there are so many good cards it doesn’t matter.
-
It was like this in 22 and maybe 21(?) and the last 2 years people were imploring them to bring back “The Big Collections”. Can’t please everybody. Do it at your own pace and enjoy playing how you wish.
-
@Weshill627_PSN How about you get to that collection when you get to it and let the rest of us who are ready for it get it when it’s scheduled?
-
@GoozeFn_PSN I have every collection done & almost every card bought.
There's no reason we need more collections. Im going to have to run through 50 more DQ to get more stubs to finish the new one.
Its just too much grinding just for one online game mode. Ranked is the only thing to do.
-
@Weshill627_PSN Disagree
-
Nobody has forced anyone to do anything in this game. You can do pretty good without Rolen, Ted, Judge, etc … I like the collections very much
-
Lol it’s amazing the people who complain about this game. You want everything handed to you without working for it.
-
@chris9341_MLBTS Please explain? I have every collection & nearly every card. Where did I say I didn't want to work for the cards & get for free?
I've done like a 100 DQ runs. Lol
Tell me, where can I earn the chase pack cards?
-
@Weshill627_PSN you have to work on your FOMO. Games like these with rewards loops feed on it. Only you can stop or slow down that internal hamster.
Sometimes I’m envious of people who have the time to accomplish everything. Since mid-June I’ve started to fall behind and it gets worse every week. Missed last WC. Now I think I’ve played 2 hours since Monday.
But then I look at my life and the things that “keep me away from the game” and it’s a blessing. It’s so cold up here that by mid-September I’ll be stuck inside most days so I’ll catch up, if I haven’t moved on by that point. (I have to finish Expedition 33 among other things).
-
Yeah i feel no need to complete all the collections and I like the options of which card/collection i want to target. I also like that if i'm unsure of what I want to do or have limited time I can pop into one of the 10 player/programs I have incomplete and knock out a moment or two. Too many collections sure is better than not enough.

I can't wait for my 99 Honus Wagner. HONUS!!! HONUS!!! HONUS!!!
-
@Weshill627_PSN I wouldn't get into it with these idiotic fan boys. You could throw [censored] on a sandwich and these clowns would lap it up.
My favorite is stubs are easy to get. Yea if I'm elite, get lucky pack pulls, spend money, flip cards on a virtual market or play DQ 100 times hoping I get the rare rewards. I have almost everything done in the game. I have got all the HRD packs I can get and shocker, all base round. So I need about 180k to finish the HRD. Yea, I can come up with that in like September. All still play because I love baseball and I don't give a [censored] about my record but from a rewarding perspective this game is hot [censored]. Very surprised PGA 2k25 has been much more rewarding than MLB The Show. Didn't think I would ever say that but Show is heading towards Madden territory. I can only hope people speak with their wallet next year and don't fall for the marketing campaign.
-
@DemIsE4_XBL I mean this respectfully, but when you say you hope people will speak with their wallet, will you be doing the same? I did it with other games (CoD, NHL, Madden). If I get to that point with MLB (not near that point), I’ll do the same.
I may not have the same negative experience(s) as you with this game, but I respect your dissatisfaction.
-
Theyre good it’s the old format we wanted.
-
Don’t worry about collections. The better your team is, The more you’ll lose in RS. Adding Ted to my lineup was the biggest mistake I ever made. Just use cards that you personally hit well with that aren’t highly rated for the best experience.
-
@IrishFist412_MLBTS I have every card top card in the game. It doesn’t change the outcome.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN Yes it does…It’s your team rating for matchmaking (Not to be confused with your RS rating). It used to be visible but people cried about it so they made it hidden but it’s still there. Has an ENORMOUS impact on the game.
-
@IrishFist412_MLBTS Where have they said that team rating affects match making? I match up with low overall teams all the time. You still see their overall by the way. It’s the very first thing you see when you load into a ranked game.
-
@MarioMendoza935_XBL I wonder how he will be earned this year.

I haven't touched DQ. I havent bought stubs. I haven't flipped. I haven't pulled ANY expensive LS Diamonds. And yet I just completed the LS Collection.
I also have Rolen and am 4-5 vouchers away from Ted.
Just play the game. Stubs will come.
