I was hoping for the same thing on my recent DQ 'Silver & Bronze' pack openings. I remembered a few years ago someone pulled Trout out of a Silver pack. I was hoping for a gatekeeper myself, but no! -
Go buy a lottery ticket. You got the second most valuable card in the game in the hardest way possible.
It's been like 6 weeks since I had a big pull (J-Ram). I play a ton and opened probably thousands of packs on that timeframe.
Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but my dry spell started around the time I was bashing SDS everyday.
Also in a somewhat related topic: Does anyone know if it's possible to download their entire pack history?

If you have the companion app you can view your pack history, don't know about downloading it though

I've had the weirdest pack luck lately.
In over 250 packs I've gotten just one natural LS diamond, but 2 chase packs (both 85-86s of course)
But Ive twice gotten double diamond ballins (and twice gotten baited by blue non-LS) and my flatliners are producing diamonds -

For grinding the hell out of the game and getting all 30 all star vouchers we'll give you one reward and then the rest you have to buy or pull (yea not happening) to finish collections and good luck getting stubs from this game. No, I don't have any interest in playing a virtual card market or running DQ 100 times.
For my mini seasons grind I got maybe 20k total for. Yep, for hitting 91 hr's in mini seasons I got 85 Blake Snell. For my deluxe pipeline past I got Austin Hedges, Brady Singer and Starling Marte. Every pack pull is the exact same. If I get a diamond and that's a big if, it is either 3k LS or base. I honestly can't remember ever pulling a chase card (even in prior years) and I play a lot. No worries, I'll just buy the $60 edition next year instead of the $100 I normally buy. I would rather light that extra $40 on fire.
Every ranked game is at least 7 switch hitters. Game is just stale as [censored]. Grind for packs that never give you anything. Game is nothing but collections and chase packs. Sometimes I wish I didn't like baseball so much.

I HIGHLY doubt loaded is the right word, especially with regards to ASG. Dont forget there will also be 2 new packs and 2 new collections (I assume the HRD will be a small collection though).
I would expect a few deluxe packs and a choice pack or two. Maybe a rare round choice between HRD/Draft/ASG

@Teak2112_MLBTS If they do a HRD collection (which I highly suspect given the way this game has ran so far), then I expect collect all 8 HRD cards for like maybe a 98 or so past winner but they will only give you a few to earn and you will need to buy or pull the rest in packs. That is their MO this year.
The way packs are this year and earning stubs, I don't have a chance to get cards like Willie, Trea, Santana, Harper, Judge, Ketel or any of those other cards. By the time I get a chance to use them (maybe October), those cards will be obsolete. After like 370 hours, I just recently got Beltran and Ted. By far the latest I have ever had LS collections done when I have tried. If you never get good pulls, aren't elite, flip cards, spend money or play DQ 100 times (just think how many DQ's you would need to do in order to get Ketel). You just can't get enough stubs to try out those cards. This game is extremely unrewarding if you don't fall into those categories.
I highly doubt the programs next week have more than a few all star packs. Who are the lowest players because that is who I will pull with those packs? It is almost comical at this point. Opening packs hasn't been fun for months. I really don't ask for much but would a bone every now and then hurt?

I just finished a DQ map. I only played the first stadium, picked up Vlad Jr. and then decided to take my winnings and quit.
Went to my "Packs" page, and opened my 12 Bronze packs. I did pick up one gold (CJ Abrams) and thought, well... not a total loss. Then I went to the Silvers. Thought to myself "why is SDS still giving us Bronze and Silver packs. This is a waste of my time." On one silver pack, I saw that is was a diamond. I just auto-flipped it and there was LS Judge staring me in the face.
So... I take it all back. Silver and Bronze packs are just fine.

I was struggling like this for stubs, invested every stub I earned for like a month on Andy Pages and got paid on Friday, it was more than enough to complete the collection for Ted, buy the 15 cards I needed for Jram (I had all 30 vouchers) and I really want this Ketel 99 but I refuse to be broke again in this game because of his price tag. I saw Trea’s price down to like 40K yesterday and scooped him from the market.
If I ever get a chance I’ll try Ketel, if not somebody else will be my end game 2nd baseman.

@DemIsE4_XBL who cares? I got Rolens done naturally through pulls, playing a bit of everything and selling dupes. I’ll get to Williams eventually (after next collection probably), almost have stubs for Ohtani.
All the repeatable rewards like MP program and DQ drop eventually so it’s a matter of do I play or buy when I get close. Plus the rewind choice packs from other programs that keep getting added.
If you try to keep up, yeah it’s a rat race that’ll exhaust you. This year I plan on playing well into October+ instead of burning out in late July.
