Lost to opponent whom I struck out 18 times.

@MoeBuug68_XBL Input does matter. The complaints people are making are overstated.
-
@tmoneymill_PSN You had 4 perfect perfects in your last game all hits, so that’s not true.
-
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL you're welcome myself and a whole lot of people agree with you!
-
Another day of ramping up the conspiracy theories!! Hilarious.

I’m very much like you in that I’ve played the game for years, only play this game, am a baseball nut, and older than the average streamer or target demo.
I just want a high quality baseball game to unwind with and add to my enjoyment of the sport. The game has been going down the path of other sports games the past 3 years and I hate it.
SDS and Sony can make plenty of money without totally selling out like EA and 2K. The game could be so much better with a few gameplay adjustments and making the experience more rewarding with drastically improved pack odds and abundant stubs and packs just for playing the game.

SDS you gotta fix this [censored]. I’m on my last leg all I’m doing is complaining. Each and everytime I play someone that’s internet isn’t good or their record is very bad I take a L. I struck this guy out 18 times and he hit the ball 3 times. All the hits were moonshots. Yet I can’t even get exit velo with teddy. The game took every opportunity to give this guy the edge whether that was due to internet or not. Great contact for me every single time was a double play I actually got on base. Every good hit was sent to a glove. Every perfect was a single or a double play. Every par was just the tipping edge. Every good hit was to the track and ONLY to the track. All contact other than foul [censored] could barely get to 90 exit velo. Why is this happening and why is it not talked about more ? It’s embarrassing that I work so hard on this game to play people occasionally who swing at everything in the dirt to reject my friendly in the beginning and go on to beat me in the 8th or 9th when they just swing at everything. It makes 0 sense. My majority of losses are just this and yet when I play someone with good connection and good ranking it seems like an actual game of baseball…. Come on! between this and DQ this is gonna make us put the remote down for the remainder of the year. I’m close.
A quick look at the game history shows that you are exaggerating here and this is not entirely true. All of the hits against you were not moonshots. 1 of the 3 was a single for Machado. And great contact for you was not a double play every single time or sent to the glove. You had one perfect-perfect with Seager that was an RBI single and one with Beltran that was a home run.
People continue to lie in their posts and forget that we can just look up their game history. And now the same 3 or 4 people that rely on lying to try and make a point will come in and call me a shill or a fanboy for living in reality instead of blindly believing obvious lies.

@Pergo_MLBTS
I took screenshots of everything goober and have asked in multiple post for people to look at my history. And YES I’m sure I exaggerated. I could care less. Bottom line is go to the [censored] history then and see how atrocious my “goods” were. And ur wrong. The logs are not correct when ur having connection issues. If I square up a ball on my end yet it has 0 exit velo and go to feedback right after it claims I was underneath or on top of it and of course I was according to the server hosting terrible connection. Why would a minute movement that has to be precise with a pci not be inaccurate if you are playing someone who has bad connection. Dont play dumb. Look at the opponents three hits and then look at how many hits I had that failed to land in play. It’s ridiculous. I’m sick of going some 3-21 on foods when someone has bad connection or isn’t very good. Coming on here and nitpicking something like my opponent hitting 2 out instead of 3 like I said is just silly. -

@GoozeFn_PSN
I’m clearly exaggerating to some extent bro get over yourself. Me and others are fed up. -
@Pergo_MLBTS
I’m looking at the screenshots right now. So here is the stats… 6-15 on goods and 6-17 on good timing. However, all singles other than a double. So 23 [censored] hit with good contact resulting in a total of 6 bases! That’s atrocious and very much due to poor connection.
I struck my opponent out 17 not 18 times apparently
My opponent was 2-3 on goods with a total of 5 bases.I typically average around minimum 800 player over the past couple of years and I’m currently 29-9 online.
A good amount of my losses have been just like this so regardless of not getting my facts perfect I’m just fed up man. Appreciate you replying regardless
-
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL Maybe people would take what you’re saying more seriously if you weren’t exaggerating.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN
Ur focus is only on that and not the big picture. Read the post above. Bottom line is the servers and the peer2peer connections and gameplay this year is atrocious. And the slider changes taking place for people who are ranked below you who need a “lift” per se is ridiculous. The more you fight people like us on here the less things will ever get fixed. Or who knows maybe you live in Cali where the servers are perfect and you match up with people with good connection and never see these issues. If so… good for you
Each and every week that goes by it becomes more and more rare to match up with someone of similar skill level and or connection. It’s making the gameplay very tough to handle. -
@VioletNine9_XBL said in Lost to opponent whom I struck out 18 times.:
@Dolenz_PSN the game is not fun because of the wild inconsistencies in rewarding swings.
@VioletNine9_XBL said in Lost to opponent whom I struck out 18 times.:
@Dolenz_PSN also can you give me one example of a systemic issue with the game that SDS had addressed with the gameplay in the past three years? Probably not because they haven’t fixed anything the gameplay just gets progressively worse every year.
Please, point me to the part of my post where I defended the game play, the hitting or the devs?
I'll wait.....
I have complained plenty about hitting this year. I recently went a stretch of 10 or so days before Friday's drop where I could not even be bothered to play, citing some of the same complaints about hitting and not enjoying myself. Shoot, even after Fridays drop, I got my Arenado card, jumped into conquest and then quit after only two games because I was not enjoying the hitting (or lack thereof)
Sometimes it is good to take a break and gain a little perspective. Rushing to the forum immediately after a bad loss and venting to the forum, while making exaggerated claims is doing nothing to help the game. It may make the poster feel better but the exaggerations and conspiracy theories probably cause the devs to simply gloss over it, if any of them ever see it at all.

Similar thing happened to me today, lost three games where I could barely score 2 or 3 runs or get some exit velo.
[censored] happens and the game have been like this forever, so I try to no get worked up over a video game, I know the frustration but try to not let it get to your head, the infamous handicap is very real and hopefully tomorrow it’ll be a better day to play MLB the show.

@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL The servers are a real problem and have been for years. Some of this stuff I can get behind, but then you talk about a conspiracy theory where sliders change based on rating or whatever you’re claiming and you have zero evidence to support that. I don’t see how making things up and exaggerating results helps.

@iBonafideScrub__PSN
Ya it’s been brutal. For me it’s connection. And every match I played today was like that. It’s very tough to hit the ball and you know immediately but nothing is smooth. There is all a muted sound to the bat even though you think you squared it up only for the hits to be weak always resulting in very low scoring games. I agree tomorrow it might not be like that so much. Thank you for the reply and your time -
@GoozeFn_PSN
I understand the reluctancy to believe that and maybe it’s more of a server issue of where I’m located compared to. Maybe these things don’t happen as often for people on the east or west coast but I can tell you each and everytime I play someone that’s below the average person I’m playing and the connection feels off this happens. It’s clockwork. My defense will start making errors and trying to move runners on the bag is impossible in extreme cases.
I’ve even started seeing on HOF where one pitch or a series of pitches moves HOF speed and suddenly pitches are randomly coming in GOAT speed. It throws you off significantly. Thank you for taking the time to reply to me -
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL This game desperately needs dedicated servers. I think we can all agree on that. People have been asking for it for years. I have seen weird things happen when the game is laggy. I just haven’t seen the other things people are claiming.
-
@Dolenz_PSN you’re on here 24/7 365 days a year if anyone needs a break from the forums it’s you.

I just hit Championship Series this year. Jesus Christ it is MUCH harder to hit this year than last year! Idk why the hitting engine is like this this year.
