Lost to opponent whom I struck out 18 times.

SDS you gotta fix this [censored]. I’m on my last leg all I’m doing is complaining. Each and everytime I play someone that’s internet isn’t good or their record is very bad I take a L. I struck this guy out 18 times and he hit the ball 3 times. All the hits were moonshots. Yet I can’t even get exit velo with teddy. The game took every opportunity to give this guy the edge whether that was due to internet or not. Great contact for me every single time was a double play I actually got on base. Every good hit was sent to a glove. Every perfect was a single or a double play. Every par was just the tipping edge. Every good hit was to the track and ONLY to the track. All contact other than foul [censored] could barely get to 90 exit velo. Why is this happening and why is it not talked about more ? It’s embarrassing that I work so hard on this game to play people occasionally who swing at everything in the dirt to reject my friendly in the beginning and go on to beat me in the 8th or 9th when they just swing at everything. It makes 0 sense. My majority of losses are just this and yet when I play someone with good connection and good ranking it seems like an actual game of baseball…. Come on! between this and DQ this is gonna make us put the remote down for the remainder of the year. I’m close.

Sorry you lost to Gallo. It happens to everyone once in a while. Sounds like your offence let you down
-
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL you are 100 percent correct. The talking heads will come on here and tell you to get better or totally try minimize what you are saying. Yes this game without a doubt seems to be picking players to help this year in game. That or its just completely the most inconsistent mlb the show game I've ever experienced. And Its true the hitting engine is the worst I've ever seen it too.
Now get ready for people to tell you that you need to get better, that you are whining and crying etc. Tell you stop playing etc. Ignore them.

I don't know who this "us" is, but I'm not putting my controller down. But you probably should. The amount of stress this game seems to be causing you doesn't seem healthy. You should probably put your focus into another hobby.
-
@allday9128_PSN that didnt take long. Lol. I called it.
-
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL Remember those times when Randy Johnson, Nolan Ryan and Steve Carlton each struck out 19 hitters and lost… in real life?
-
I get what you're saying. I think I found the game you're talking about and it seems like there were only 3 PPs the entire game. This year, a lot of great contact and good PCI placements often result in weak popups or shallow fly [censored]. The game definitely isn't playing great this year, especially the hitting. It's tough dude. Striking out 18 guys and still losing just should not happen (usually).
-
@TheBigPapa55_PSN thank you man! Appreciate your comment. Someone that actually recognizes what the majority of us are seeing and not trying to spin it.
-
My issue is timing , i don't understand how i can yank a 100mph fb and pull it way foul and then be late on 88 mph change up when i tried to use the same timing .
-
@TheBigPapa55_PSN All 3 of those perfect perfects were hits in the game you’re talking about.
-
Not trying to be a " git gud" guy , but have you tried balancing your lineup , speed contact and power , maybe move some runners over with stealing and bunting , drag bunting etc. Also being patient and tiring the pitcher .
-
@RAisEdByGoAt_XBL Yea, if you don't start doing what I did and not caring about being competitive you will come to despise this game a lot. Mark my words it isn't going to change.
Until the connections get better and/or I get better cards, I will just continue to sit in all star and use different cards to try to have fun. Not caring whether I win or lose. I have zero interest getting to HOF in ranked at this time.
I was in your shoes for many years. Until SDS gets a new network team which is highly unlikely it will get worse. It also gets worse the longer the game is out and the more people leave. You have to ask yourself why the game plays so good for people in Florida, Boston, NY, Chicago, etc which are areas with extremely bad internet.

What did I say that was wrong? I know it sounds insane but if you're miserable doing something, you should probably stop doing it.
-
@allday9128_PSN because telling someone to just stop playing a game is counter productive. He like most people love the game and just want to see some consistency and see the game get better. Maybe try to relate with the frustration and help us fix it, that would be more productive.
Everytime someone comes on here and dogs someone because of their frustration is a wasted opportunity to get through to sds to fix some of the main game play issues.
-
@GoozeFn_PSN This isn't real life its a dam video game. Input should matter. You and everyone on this forum needs to stop using Get better or that is real life excuse. ITS A VIDEO GAME. The hitting in this year game is so dam random and like a dice roll. Don't get me started on the cpu difficulty either. And he is right this year game hitting engine is the worst it has ever been in years.

I get what you're saying and everyone has the right to criticize the game but there does come a point where just walking away from the game, whether it is for a day, a week or the rest of the season is the better option from a mental health point of view. It's a game. Games are meant to be fun. If it's not fun then stop and give it a break.
It may be a cliche but the doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is indeed a little insane.
I also have to say that I am always amused by those who claim that SDS are awful developers who can't get anything right, except comeback code to help lesser players. Apparently they have perfected that.
-
@Dolenz_PSN yes it is good to take a break sometimes. Its a very competitive game. And when you have this type of competitive game its easy to get frustrated. Especially when the game is inconsistent. Its not a bad game and they do a good job for the most part with the game in general. But this year is just worse. Bring back event and br awards. Give us something to be competitive at rather than just ranked seasons.
-
Game is horrible. I. 1 for 8 on last Perfects. 1 for fuckin 8.
-
It’s a real thing, handicap is real in this game. With exit exit velos, what determines a good swing when your pci is all over it. The game does do this.
-
The rng this year is way out of control but SDS is perfectly fine rewarding bad swings
