@dap1234567890_PSN dont do that, thats wayyyyyy too many single plate appearance home run moments. I dont have a problem completing them but could you imagine just slogging through all of these at once? That's a small sample of Hell.

Word of advice for those on the 8tb vs Sanchez.
If you are using directional, do not press any direction until he starts his delivery, I was pressing up and everything was in at me or dirt [censored], went up and pull and I got everything off the plate away, I started not holding up until after he started and my 2nd attempt of that on 2nd and 3rd ab I homered to complete it.
It still sucks but I got more pitches that were better and in good spots than I did when it knew what I was trying to do. -
It’s also versus pretty much all lefties including one with outlier who shouldn’t be there because of a suspension for PED use. Finally got it done after like 12 tries on regular swing.
Also when I say ‘tries’ it’s I mean of tries where I would at least get a double in the first AB

@Pergo_MLBTS agreed that this program is meant to recreate his month of June. And give us moments that reflect the days he hit a homer (or two or three).
All of this is in the past. He DID it. So, give us a Sammy Sosa batter with numbers that can get the “job done” 125 contact. 125 power. 125 vision. 125 clutch. Also, have the pitchers throw strikes.
Again, he accomplished this feat. It’s not a “what-if”. Specifically, with Sosa, the 60 vision is a BIG issue that causes unnecessary failures with his moments.
-
he only hit .298 that month, and had 27Ks. I dont know his r/l splits, but Im assuming SDS did their homework and that this was only the second moment with a lefty isnt a coincidence. Card seems pretty fair if thats the case
Regardless of his power vs left not being 125, the ball still flies off his bat. If you get a hittable pitch.
-
@capardo_XBL The Sosa card is plenty good enough to get it done, and the pitchers do throw strikes. You don't even have to hit home runs to get it done. They've already made it easier on you.
-
@Pergo_MLBTS we will have to agree to disagree!
-
Sosa has a really fast swing, so swing as soon as the ball leaves the pitchers hand, you will eventually get it. Both 8 base moments took me 2 tries, I expected it to take a lot longer.
That gave me hope that I could finally get the first moment done because up until now I have had no luck with that one. 3rd attempt and crushed kne to Left Field.

Yeah, Sosa hit a lot of homers but struck out a lot. In 98 he struck out 171 times.
The guy led the league in strikeouts in 97, 98, and 99. Looking it up from 1995 to 2003 he was top 10 in the Majors for most Ks, every year except for 96. He's 4th all time for most strikeouts. Low Vision fits with real life Sammy.
Still want the card and will P5 it, but dude struck out a whole heck of a lot.
-
You’re right, Sosa struck out a ton. I remember that. Heck, he probably struck out a lot in some of these games we are recreating at bats from in this program.
However, in the specific moment we are being asked to recreate, he DID not strike out. He hit a homer! His vision (or any other attribute) in that moment was “perfect”.
That’s my issue with moments (in general). We are given a batter with career/season/monthly attributes (and all the outs they made) to recreate a moment where they were completely successful.
IMO, he should have 125 across the board FOR THAT MOMENT. And no issue with getting his 95 at the end of the program with the attributes that it has (60 vision, for example)
What SDS does just makes these moments unnecessarily difficult and we are set up to fail, not be successful. Again, IMO.
-
@JediEl1823_PSN Same with every Reggie Jackson card. Reggie struck out a lot and was an average fielder. I believe at one time Reggie was top 5 in K's and that's why Billy Martin wanted Joe Rudy.
-
I really don't understand how people are having trouble hitting homeruns with this card. Idk maybe I'm just lucky but as long as the power is above 80 I love HR moments. They are some of the fastest ones to do.
-
Most of these moments have been done within 2 at-bats, multiple after one pitch.

@capardo_XBL I see your point because with the NBL moments when this game first came out the golds in some moments had diamond attributes but when you completed that story all you recieved was the gold card.
-
@VENOM1120_PSN I suspect this is because the "card" you were using in the moments is the eventual 99 version of those guys that will be released later down the line.

the one against Christopher Sanchez is imposse, tried it over and over for like 200 times. best I got was 7 total bases. SDS needs to change this program somehow, or make it a lot easier

Using directional? If you are, don't press up until after he starts his delivery, I had about 15 attempts at this, and I was being pitches counter to what I was doing,if I held up I got dirt [censored] or busted in,if I held up and pull i got low and away.
I didn't hold a direction until he started to throw and I got pitches on the plate to hit, still was pitching around me but did get some and I got it on my 2nd attempt. -
yep got it done, thanks for the help

With only 1 HR left for the 20 and 3 tiers remaining I wonder what they are going to add....
