@Teak2112_MLBTS funny how they always think worse players always beat them and when they win they are also always the better player! No one is better than them yet some how they continue to take Ls. Always an excuse for their losses but it is never them though.

They are worse players if they are getting rewarded off worse inputs and winning the game and the other player is raking the ball right to a fielder for outs.

@dap1234567890_PSN I never said I was a great player. In my original post ^^^ I explained exactly what happened in those two ranked games. Why would I lie about exactly what happened to post something on a forum. Im far from the only player that has complained about the hitting engine this year. Its now becoming a fact.

As dumb as it sounds, learn how to be late. That’s the most rewarded swing I’ve seen this year. About 3 runs away from uninstalling because a perfect/perfect with Beltran won’t leave Coors but a very late with anyone on a pitch outside of the zone will be a no doubter 450+ moonshot.

Legit boycott the game next year and make their pockets hurt, will be the only way to get the idiots at SDS to do anything beneficial to the game.

But hey at least Clases hair moves 🤔 🤔

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL There’s zero chance 75% of your perfect perfects are outs. It’s probably closer to 10%.

@GoozeFn_PSN I've been trying to keep track. Its a whole lot higher than 10 percent brother. A lot higher. Maybe not 75 percent. But it certainly isn't 10. I wouldn't be complaining if it were 10 percent. I wouldn't be complaining if it were 20 percent either. If you count the perfects that are only singles. Probably closer to 75 percent yes.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL Well, there’s apparently a way to look at this in game history. I don’t care enough about it to do it myself, but every week or so someone makes this claim and someone else comes in with their game history showing it’s not even close to their claim. It’s usually around 10%.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL OK it’s even easier than I thought to look it up. From your last 7 online games, there were 25 perfect perfects. 21 were hits. That’s 84%, so as I expected, a lot closer to 10% than 75%. Maybe the 2 out of 5 perfect perfect outs in your last game are giving you some recency bias here. Still, it’s not this big problem people are constantly making it out to be.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL It’s in your game history. You can look your own up from your console or search other people by their gamer tag on their website.

Here’s a question: does anyone value pitching and defense? So many complaints (many exaggerated, misguided, or flat out lies) about not being rewarded while hitting, but am I the only one who appreciates being able to pitch to contact this year?

Good contact and timing on a pitcher’s pitch should be an out most of the time. Maybe I’m the only one who’s happy that it is, and if that’s the case, well, thanks, SDS. One guy likes what you’ve started, here.

Now let’s just start calling strikes on the black strikes, and we’ll soon have a pretty [censored] good baseball sim on our hands.

@The_Joneser_PSN This year’s game does seem to be less of a HR derby. I have noticed some times, particularly with Beltran, that seem like good input with relatively weak results. I don’t know. Maybe pitching input matters more this year.

@The_Joneser_PSN you won't be saying that when you play a game with 8 bloopers hit against you. And every solid contact you make results in an out.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL, yes, I will. Those are called singles, and they happen.

As to the good contact outs, if that’s not another gross exaggeration, I’d quote Catfish Hunter: “the sun don’t shine on the same dog’s [censored] all the time.”

The same answer to anyone saying their opponent only gets lucky bloop hits: stop spamming FB and SNK high and in constantly. If that’s your game, I’m going to sit there and contact swing you to death until you try something else.

    This.
If you are giving up a lot of bloops you are either fooling them with speed changes and they are popping it up or you are jamming them. Have faster infielders and they'll catch a lot of them.

@The_Joneser_PSN I agree. Good pitching feels like it gets rewarded this year. Well placed perfect pitches are probably what most of the complaining babies are experiencing.
