Thoughts on POTM

Who do you all think will the lightning card?
Judge and Ohtani both deserve it but highly doubtful they will get it. Plus their live series cards will be almost the same rating.
Cal Raleigh,PCA,Robbie. Ray,James Wood,Freeman,Jacob Wilson?
I know we already have the Egg Hunt version of PCA but I’d love to see a better version. I think he could be end game if the stats are right.
If not him then Raleigh would be cool even though he already had a spotlight card.James Wood would be cool too.
PCA is my choice though.
Please no Robbie Ray

Cal Raleigh has an 89 overall April Spot Light card, so I don't think he'll get it even though I would like to see it. I don't think the new card would be much different and only a few points higher overall.
-
@dap1234567890_PSN yeah I know. I said he had a spotlight card already. Unfortunately. It would be nice to have a better version though. 61 contact vs right and 47 vs left isn’t going to cut it.
-
Of that list, James Wood would be 95% likely.
People like his swing, and a lightning here could cement him as a show favorite (so they can put him in 'special inserts' and collections)
Not sure who else is in the running
-
Rafael devers or Kris Bubcic
-
@MRAD2010_XBL All of these players WILL NOT be the Lightning POTM because they're gonna make the All-Star Game and get ASG cards of their own
-
Cal Raleigh may get a HRD card. I'm hoping a 99 HRD after he wins it!
He just hit another HR, again leading the MLB.
-
James Wood is getting a spotlight card in the May Spotlight Program tomorrow
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS Idk man he might be an All-Star Game card in Team Affinity
-
@Invinitee_XBL I know. I’m just mentioning contenders. They all had a great month
-
@sbchamps17_NSW you’re right. Thanks

They could always give the all star card to Gore, they will likely both make it and for some unknown reason they dont make a card for every all star
-
I'm going to go out a limb with a prediction:
Since this is a likely a 94 they can give it to 90+ diamond. They do like to give fan favorites for this so your Lightning player of May with a 1.085 OPS and 8 stolen bases is:
Jose Ramirez -
I'm with some of the others upthread in that I doubt they give it to anybody who they assume will make the all-star game or who they plan on adding to any other program in the near future.
Remember before sets and seasons they almost never gave it to the actual top player each month. In '22 Judge, Goldschmidt and Arenado took home half the AL and NL POTM awards and none of them got a card for that. They held them back for later in the year.

Im a little surprised it isnt Wood because Gore gives them a pass on the All Star card issue. Wilson, on the other hand, is quite possibly the As only representative, although he still needs to play well in June
Are they really going to give TJ Friedl a lightning card?
-
@MRAD2010_XBL PCA hit .269 in the Month of May. No thanks. James Wood is getting a spotlight card, so it isn’t him. Jose Ramirez is the best choice.
-
Maybe a Freddie Freeman?
-
I’d love Manny Machado, but he only hit 4 home runs in May. Devers makes a lot of sense because he’s been a lightning card in the recent past and SDS loves giving us the same cards every year. Jacob Wilson makes some sense, but would be disappointing. I really hope it’s not a pitcher.

Wood is a Spotlight card tomorrow but not the Lightning.
