Got to be doing something wrong.

Keep playing these games and squaring up baseballs and getting the weakest contact. And my opponents seem like every hit is shot out of a cannon. Not sure what to do at this point. Definitely annoying though.

The same thing happens to me every time I get to around level 700-750. Sometimes it feels like the other player is more skilled and better than me.

They probably are
…
But honestly to the OP: it depends on the player attributes and difficulty.
- A classic Arraez-card (e.g.) has no pop so his hits do not carry that much (as say a big Papi)
- The difficulty makes you be more precise with your pci (especially on the corners, where slamming your pci also effects the outcome)

Just my observation, and not trying to pass it off as hard fact. But the power creep masked the issue for the first month and a half...but there definitely seems to be an issue with the type of batted ball (notice I don't say hits) not matching contact, and the direction of the batted ball not matching the position of the contact nor the timing of the swing.
If you use the top of the plate as the "horizon", and take contact say of a grounder. Your swing timing is level with the horizon...yet it produces a hard pull down the first base line. In all reality that's an out to short or 2nd, depending on which side of the bag it goes to...but definitely should not be a pulled ball.
Stuff like that is what makes me scratch my head
