Negro League Moment Help Needed

I am currently on the Bert Waters moments and I’ve ran into a glitch. I need 2 extra base hits and after I get the first one it makes me play catcher (every inning) all the way up until he comes up to hit again..

Is there any solution or fix for this?

I might be wrong, but I believe I hit the pause menu hit the button to skip to next player appearance to skip the catching stuff
